As you advance in the game, you will get les skill points for the same level. So in the begining you might get 1 for each case then it will be for each 2 etc... You can try moving up a level in the game to earn points faster. If you find it too hard go back and work slowley till you have enough points to get more skills or money to get better equipment. Then move back up.
You are still lucky! At my level it takes me more than a week to get a point.
