False evidence?

It seems that some of my evidence is "False", because it doesent match the killer. Is this put there to deliberatly mislead you? Does it belong to the victim? Thanks all

Vernon, it belongs to other suspects. Only one piece of evidence belongs to the culprit. I think of it as if the others had contaminated the crime scene afterwards or had legitmately been in the room sometime previously - as in real life when there would be traces of other people.

If you don't have enough smart skill + equipment on you, then it is likely you won't find all evidence either. And that could be the piece of pointing at the killer.
