How do we travel to other cities. Do we just have to be lucky enough to get a case in one of those cities or can we elect to travel there?

You have to either go to the docks in New York train station in New York or Delhi... not sure about Shanghai though

And you can elect to go there (as long as you have the fare, and then start solving cases the usual way when you get there.

The fare depends on the distance but is a combination of cash plus several unplayed daily cases. You can't use cases from your locker, just from the original 10 you get every day.
