Sorry, forgot the subject.
I was wondering about favors - if we have one in New York waiting in will cases solved in London give us another one waiting there? (The question is actually for each city, I just picked examples so I wouldn't sound like a math teacher with something like "city a".)

I agree with bogdoc that it would be really nice to keep the favors, especially as you've "spent" three cases to earn it.

BUT I have to think it also makes some sense that if someone in NYC asks for a favor, and you leave town to head across the world to India, they might get someone else to help them out instead...

That does make sense. It brings the question to mind - is this a way to lose contacts? It'd be making townies like factions, if a townie gets mad at you for not helping them and going somewhere halfway around the world instead, your approval rating with them decreases. If the approval rating goes negative (and they are a contact) they won't be your contact anymore. In the same respect, you could only get a contact by not already having that type of contact (PE or non) in that city and doing a favor for them that brings their rating with you positive.

The only problem I can see that this would cause is having positive ratings with two PE townies in one city after losing a PE contact in that city. But the next of those PE townies you complete a favor for in that city being your new PE contact for that city would solve that problem.

I keep thinking about getting new contacts, my guess is a lot of others have been to. So along with getting more contacts, was a contact change that we can lose contacts as well? I hope not, but it makes sense - and it would make hunts harder if some agents had favors and couldn't travel for muli-city hunts without risking a lost contact.

Either my imaginatioon is way too good or I just figured out how to lose a contact. :)

I think u r going wild here andy. U might confuse the newbies ;)
Till now there is no reason to believe u can loose a contact. But u can earn 2 in each city.

I might be thinking too much - just figured if the favors go away, why not the contacts? But this was thought of by the same person who wrote a book about a victim killing his killer then being killed again (I know it sounds odd, but the book makes it seem sane).

Before anyone asks me - that's really what I wrote about, and none of the books I've written are published yet. :)

The book sounds very cool, Andy! And I've moved this to sleuth talk as I think it's gotten kind of complex and overly hypothetical for the newbie thread.

I remember discussion some time back about losing contacts. But I don't think this is what is happening, nor do I think it is likely to happen.

We never know, with Ben, though, do we?!

Although contacts can be hard to find when you have to feel around on the rug with your hands!

I do remember weve talked about it before ben made the changes on having only 1 contact from each group. Can anyone remember the good days when u could have 2 PE contacts? LOL
But yes you never know with ben, luckily he keeps changing stuff so the game doesnt ever gets boring. I do hope hell warn us though if he ever decides to let us loose contacts *afraid for akano's health* LOL

If it is ever made possible to lose a contact, I seriously will go insane. If you ever find a featured mystery with an Akano in it getting taken away by cops you know what happened.
