I've noticed after doing a lot of Intermediate cases, I dont always get a skill point after successfully solving the case, and I've recently moved onto Hard cases and the same thing is happening again.

Is there certain criteria that needs to be met when solving the case, or avoiding things like paying for bribes and not trying to get hints, or is it completely random?

I mean you got a skill point, for every 100 EXPERIENCE points you earned.

As you grow more experienced, the number of EXPERIENCE points you need to get a new skill point gets higher and higher.

Hope I haven't confused you. :)

Sorry. *hides in shame*

Thanks jstkdn :) I knew you meant Experience points in your first post, that clears it up for me now.. need to stick to the hard cases!

Yup!!! Make sure you don't *guess* who the killer is. Three strikes and you are out.

Yeah, I had to pay already for a false accusation, but I've been here a couple of weeks now, getting the hang of what needs to be done, and reading the message boards really helps a lot.

I'll probably be subscribing soon, those featured cases look pretty interesting :)

tip: pay shady after two falses instead of one.

There are even better reasons for subscribing, then the featured mysteries. You can join/start an agency and play with others, and make use of shared equipment and contacts. And as if Wednesday next week, get 10 normal cases to play instead of 3. Also on that day, if you are subscribed you can travel to 4 sleuth cities.

And if you want to join an agency, mine probably has a space for new detectives as well next week.
