I'm not exactly sure how long it takes but the favor level increases are based on how many favors you solve *ponders creating a character just to find out how many favors it takes to move up each level... decides against it*

even if u get useless gifts u can always sell them and use the cash to buy what u want. at the hardest level they sell for 4800$ with around 3 favors a day u become reach very fast ;)
