if u need a bad or lack of alibi combined with one piece of PE for them to be guilty, then what is the point of finding out if one character saw another "leaving the scene of the crime" or "with bloody hands"?

There are three ways to confirm guilt
1. You may use 2 peices of suspect evidence to confirm guilt
2. You may Use one physical evidence and a false or no alibi
3. You may use a false alibi or no alibi and one suspect evidence.

don't confuse no alibi with someone who clams and will not answer. No alini is when they say it isn't any of your business.

the reasons witness give u are totaly not important, just the name. So it doesnt matter if its "bloody hands" or "stole watch" or whatever. What matters is that they suspect someone.
You can only accuse this person safely if he/she has false alibi or if another witness suspects the same person.

Suspect evidence is very useful if your key suspect has clammed up before you found out what their alibi is. Getting two suspect evidences against them is really the only way to be sure they are guilty if you don't have any way to check their alibi.
Physical evidence even with ONE suspect evidence is not always enough, since there will be one witness who is wrong and two who are right in every case. And all the pieces of physical evidence belong to somebody - but only one belongs to someone with a fake alibi.

I just had a wonderful example of this. I had one piece of suspect evidence and one piece of physical evidence against Leonard, and headed over to accuse him. Imagine my surprise when I found him dead! I had not been able to determine his alibi...

Thanks to this "thread" (ooh, a pun!), I was able to deduce the murderer - thanks people!
