Hello everyone, I'm looking for some advice on what to pick for my next skills.

My detective is a Tough and Charming archetype and I currently have 12 unspent Skills Points. My skill list so far:
1. Judge of Character
2. Stress Detection
3. Sweet Talking
4. Interrogation
5. Intimidation
6. Rule Bending
7. Thread Analysis
8. Hair Analysis
9. Flirting

These are the skills available for me to purchase right now:
1. Intermediate Sweet Talking
2. Footprint Analysis
3. Advanced Intimidation
4. Advanced Rule Bending
5. Lock Picking
6. Intermediate Interrogation
7. Advanced Hair Analysis
8. Advanced Thread Analysis

I'm unsure about Foot Analysis. Since my New York contact is the Shoemaker, I don't know if that makes the skill less essential, of it's still worth taking especially if I plan on exploring other cities later.

So, for those who've played longer, can I humbly ask which skills should I prioritize (ideally the next five)? Any guidance from you guys would really help me plan my build.

I now have 13 Skills Points and I could purchase 2 more skills:
1. Research
2. Hand Writing Analysis

Priority wise, I’d get Research first. It will always work and always eliminate a suspect.

Then I would take a look at your gear and either focus on completing your charming or your tough arsenal of skills. For example, get intermediate sweet talking, advanced sweet talking, and advanced rule bending before going after the rest of your tough skills (or vice versa).

Those are my two cents!

This is a pretty common question so you could also search the message boards for other answers.

Also don't forget factions can teach you skills too. If you go for though interrogation then The Green Hand will add a booster to that.
