Hello all, I am a sporadic player over many years. Now that I'm in my mid-30s, old enough that I don't even remember my old characters, I played a bit of a game called Shadows of Doubt. It's a 3d mystery detective game that, in a way, is kind like what I always wanted this game to be...but at least right now, playing that game just made me miss this one.
I have read elsewhere that the game and site dev is/are only maintaining this as a hobby. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone that keeps this game alive. I know one day it may vanish, and forever, but I'm so happy to have played this weird little browser game that was a unique experience no one else has been able to replicate.
Anyway, I will try my best to stick with this character as long as the game lasts. I only just recently got my first contact (London, librarian) and am trying to cozy up to La Cosa Nostra. I do my cases and contribute to my agencies, if anyone can use another hand on deck.
Power to the people, and godspeed.

I would like to echo this. I played Shades of Mystery religiously through college and after, and it was the one game I kept coming back to. I thought the concept was so cool and spent countless hours thinking about the implementation and options as I solved the cases. It broke my heart when the end of Flash caused the end of SoM. I will not admit how often I think about the game, and how I wish I had the time (and brain) to try and bring something like that to life, but I am very happy that Noir is still alive.
I have finally decided to stop mourning the loss of SoM and embrace Noir for as long as I can. It warms my heart that it is still being maintained and so many people are enjoying it. Here is to hoping for a long and successful career for all the Sleuths. Thank you <3
