Hi, I see some of the posts I was looking for are years old and no longer responsive, so I am refreshing this topic to get some answers for myself.
I've resubscribed recently, for the increased case count mostly, but now I'd like to know how does Treasure Hunt work? I got a prompt to visit one townie that supposedly will give me an info after doing them a favour, but the favour prompt gave me nothing. I tried typing different keywords on the 'specific question' box, but I still got nothing.

From what i understand, the favor you do has to be given by the townie directly (he or she tells you who was killed and who is your first suspect). If you solve the favor case, the winning screen will include a discussion with the townie who will tell you who will be the next townie with information on the treasure.
