I’ve always been an on-and-off player and never got this far. I’m still a ways away from owning a pet, but I’d like to know what to expect if I were to acquire one. I’ve been going through the message boards and the info is a bit scattered, I feel reluctant about obtaining a pet until I understand more:

1: Do pets cost money after you acquire one?
2: How much extra work is it to care for one?
3: Pets can get sick, how expensive is it to remedy?
4: Are pets a bad idea for infrequent players?

I understand that a lot of this game is about learning things yourself, but in this instance I’d like to know what I’d be getting myself into. For example, I saw people commenting that medicine costs them 100k. This detective is my first time having over 100k in money and the thought of a pet costing that much when they get sick worries me. Is the cost really a flat rate of 100k, or is the cost of medicine more like a % of your total money?

Hope these questions are fair and don’t go against the spirit of the game.

Hi! I have a question about pets as well: I have a pet that is 33 days (the description says he's very young but fully grown).

I got a message saying that my pet has learnt everything he could learn.

Does it mean his skills can't improve any further? Or is there still a way for him to get points?

For example, in the Furore (or at the Battery Boardwalk, anyway), the Carousel Operator sells stuff for training your pet in the various skills. Is it something still worth buying? Can it still improve the pet's skills?

Thanks a lot to anybody who can help me! :-)
