Checked newbie FAQ's and searched message boards but don't think this exact question is covered.
I've been doing favors and realize it's a bit wasteful when I have charm skillsets but the townie I'm doing a favor for gives tough rewards or those subtract my existing charm levels.
In order to fast track, I can keep declining favors until I get a townie with charm rewards. Problem is, I don't know who veers towards what skillset rewards.
Is this purely random or, for example, a waitress will always reward charm gifts and a butcher will always reward tough gifts. One of the patterns I have noticed is that, in my limited experience - bankers, fortune tellers and priests keep giving me smart gifts. Again, this could be totally random.
This board has been such a wonderful resource and I'm hoping I may get some clarity on this question.
