I am a smart and charming detective, I have got almost all of basic smart/charming skills (Need hand writing analysis) anyway I was wondering what to get next, do I go for interrogation/intidation or do I go for the faction skills.
I also have lockpicking and hypnotisim already.
on the same lines does Judge of Charactor, tell you if you are more likely in your current situation perswade someone tough or charm or in general the person is more suseptable to which? if it is the latter is there any use getting it until I get advanced intimidation/interrigation?

AKA, if you do not have the basic handwriting skill, I would advise you to get that one as fast as possible. You need handwriting and Thread analysis to discover those two items at the crime scene. Without the basics of those, you will not find all the evidence thus making your solving cases harder.
After that, I would say get the advanced charm skills and leave the tough skills alone until later.
Judge of character gives you an idea of how best to persuade a suspect. It is used more when you have both tough and charming interview types. When you use JoC this is what you will see. (of course the numbers will be different.)
Base Interrogation Chance: 66
Tough Equipment Adjustment: -4
Adjusted Interrogation Chance: 62
Base Sweet Talking Chance: 55
Charming Equipment Adjustment: 25
Advanced Skill Bonus: 35
Flirting Bonus: 20
Adjusted Sweet Talking Chance: 135
It would be easier to influence Paxton by being nice.

Arabella, you are confusing handwriting analysis with hair analysis. You'll still find notes without the handwriting analysis.
That said, AKAs you should still get handwriting analysis before JoC because it is a bit more useful.
