What is the fame of a detective agency, what does it do (if anything), and how many points do you gain for different tasks?

u can get ur agency in high scores by completting as many as possible cases. dont know how many per case but u can check how much ur agency has than do a case and check the diference. it doesnt affect anything else though. i think u get also some starting fame for the building u buy for ur agency and maybe something for every tresure hunt.
