Cure Sick Pet But Don't Get Full Stats Back?

My parrot was sick, so I paid for a cure more than 24 hours ago. He only has half his smart stats back. (Full charm and tough, though.)
Will he get full stats back??
Or did I really pay $100k and lose half his smarts?

i never seem to get any answer from an admin when i have an issue though, so i'm not sure what to do?

Yesterday, my pet was happy and doing great! Today, sicker than sick. I had to drop 100,000 to cure him. It would be great to have a warning that your pet is falling ill. Maybe something besides dishing out loads of cash to help them before they are at deaths door and your stats have tanked.
