In order to avoid the bug that boots you to the login page when you open an old saved case, I'd like to clear out all case files that are older than 2018. This would apply to apartment and agency stored files.

Any objections? If not, I'll to it by the end of the week.

Not wanting to step on anyone's toes - BUT, maybe we could unstick some sticky posts made by people who haven't logged in to the game in like 8 to 10 years? And maybe have a sticky post on known bugs in the game for people new to the game to reference?

Daenerys - Sorry the Antique store is a project I'm working on with my son Diego. We are making progress, but sometimes getting a 12 year old to hit his deadlines can be a struggle...

It should be fun though. I thought we were a couple weeks away from launching when we made that public, but we've still got some work before we can reveal more.

To tell the truth, I guessed as much. The sudden appearance of a new admin with the cute face well known to the members of the old guard of Sleuthville, at the same time when the Antique Store icon appeared in Shanghai, couldn't have been a coincidence. Good luck with your first joint project, Ben and Diego! I hope there will be many others.

The cute face is actually a halloween mask. Go figure ...

My other detective, King Aegon, has encountered a serious problem. He, or rather I, opened a stored case from his apartment, and I'm getting the following message:

Spyce exception
File: /home/ubuntu/noir/src/www/case/index.spy
Message:
KeyError: 'title'
Stack: /var/www/html/common/py/mystery.py:340, in fill:
self.title = data_dictionary["title"]
/var/www/html/common/py/mystery.py:334, in load_query:
self.fill(result)
/var/www/html/common/py/mystery.py:310, in load_full:
self.load_query( db, mysteryid, detectiveid=detectiveid )
/var/www/html/common/py/controller/case/index.py:195, in load_mystery:
self.mystery.load_full(db,detective.current_mystery,detective.detectiveid)
/var/www/html/common/py/controller/case/index.py:89, in load:
self.load_mystery(session)
index.spy:8, in (main):
data.load(session, request)

I can't quit the case, or anything else. There is nothing I can do about it, for the message appears as soon as I log in. It means that Aegon can't play at all until the problem is fixed. Please help!

I managed, by pressing the back button several times, to put the corrupt case back into the apartment files, so there is no urgent need to do anything about it, but the broken case is still there.

I had this problem a while back. I alt-clicked “Quit Case” on a new case and copied the link. After solving that case I opened the corrupt case and pasted the quit link into the address bar. Assuming you don’t crash to login as soon as you reopen the case that might be worth a shot (leave a separate browser window open ready to store a case in your apartment furniture just in case).

Belated thanks for the advice, Jesse, but it didn't work. I stored the broken case in the apartment again and it's still there.
