Thank you all, guys, for the prompt and detailed reply. It never occured to me that the reindeer coat was a special item made to be boosted for a special occasion. It was BadAss's wonderful green reindeer coat that led me astray. I didn't know that it needed the intervention of a Sleuth god to make it happen. I'm sure that the god in question will intervene again, this time on my behalf. *kotows*

The side-effect of upgrading ALL the reindeer coats in Sleuthville is great, perhaps I've just done a good deed and should stop complaining. :D Unfortunately, as seen in the previous instance, one seems to exclude the other.

I just read about your login troubles, BadAss. Compared to that, my complaint about a "mere" coat seems trivial. I hope it will be fixed soon.

lol, since I can't play BadAss for now I wish there was something as a rent-a-coat service so at least that coat would be put to good use.

I think there needs to be a thread sticky-posted somewhere where all of the known glitches in the game are posted so everyone knows up front not to do certain things while playing - especially since technical support at the moment is *very* slow to respond.

@Sleuth Sindy - it's SO FUNNY that you just mentioned that tech support was slow to respond. I literally just came to the message boards to ask if anyone was hearing back about their issues! I've sent an email to help, opened a ticket, and sent a direct message and haven't heard anything back on any of them (different issues, at different times.) It's frustrating, because I understand this is a much smaller community now and I'm sure there are less resources available but I still paid to play, so =(

It's a vicious cycle. Because there are few players, technical support has become slow. It's because technical support is slow there are few players left.

Oh dear, this has taken me a long time to see. I am sorry, I will make sure Tyrion gets his proper coat (and the other sleuths go back to their regular coats!)

This is a problem dating back to when the Nemesis rewards were first set up. The Prince's jeweler deems any item with an item id above 100,000 as already being a Nemesis item. The problem is any new item added to the game automatically has an item id of above 100,000. It needs a more robust system (especially as this problem will happen more and more frequently as more items are added)
