For all those budding sleuths out there I need you to answer me a question, who or what is Neurocam? I know this may sound simple, but believe me these people weave a mysterious web.

Most providers worldwide have static IP addresses. As they ask for your city and state, and email address, it becomes much easier to find information. On top of that, if they installed a tracking cookie on the page you visited it becomes alo easier.
I also would say it depends on the ISP, and the country. For instance Austria will not even allow their customer data to even be stored outside of Austria, highly regulated in terms of outside access. In the Netherlands, an ISP has to hand over IP address by law to the government quite regularly, traffic, name, address, heavy on email, or websites from certain countries etc. We are forced to even store everyones email up to 5 years in come countries. I know on numerous of our customers, European wide for local, national, and European authorities we had to handover sometimes even internet behaviour patterns. I'd say not anyone can do it. But as there is some money behind Neurocam, and perhaps savvy people, a lot more becomes possible then to the average person. I don't know what Australia's/Melbourne's biggest ISP is, but if I launced a site like this in Europe, as I work for the largest broadband provider here....I can even give you a call on your private number. :)

I can think of way easier things. For instance they don't ask for your name. My email address does not have my name in it. So it says "dear applicant", chances are when I send them an email and my name will show up....wanna bet, then they suddenly know my name? You can find a lot more results on top of that with googling, whowhere.com etc. I think this is what they potentially do, they probably have an engine set up, by one click of a button they can scan all those sites in one go.

Or....they are really a bunch of mormons, sitting there laughing their heads off out there in Utah. They even got a nice trip to Australia out of it. :)

I have signed up to Neurocam and know several others who have - thus far, I have seen no evidence that they know anything about anybody other than what has been told them. I believe that the so-called 'background checks', based on such minimal information provided by the applicant, is purely a psychological method of increasing the aura of mystery and omniscience that they are obviously so eager to project. It's part of a well-known manipulation technique, fooling those that register into thinking that Neurocam is more powerful and resourceful than there is any real evidence to suggest it is.

I know I would be very uncomfortable giving information on my daily habits. If I were you Sunny, I would not reply. How do you know for certain the website is based in Australia?

I just submitted my first assignment. I put a fake name, changed the alias to my email address. And lied about my entire detailed account.

So how much they know, about me.

i think they want you to lie. really if i sent in an account of those hours, they would be bored to tears and i would feel bad about having a very dull life.

thanks for the concern madametbird! i'll take your advice.

I've just completed the assignment concerning 'The Magus' and submitted it to Neurocam. I recieved a reply not long ago which was almost apologetic, it read;

Neurocam International appreciates the unorthodox nature of this assignment and your willingness to continue your association with the organisation despite this unusual request.

You will recieve details of your next assignment shortly.

With this last letter the creepyness has sort of disappeared, that freaky sort of not knowing and thats the only reason why I'm doing this, that was the fun part. If this next assignment doesn't crank things up again. I might have to part ways with Neurocam...
If they let me!!!

After the assignment I have heard nothing from Neurocam. Maybe they've run out of ideas, but they did mention operatives are activated once every 20-30 days so we'll just have to wait and see.

TBird--I wondered the same thing the other day. Surely the lack of recent activity on this message means they've all been brainwashed? ;)
