I had a ticket for the 03:15 furore today, but the furore disappeared from the schedule list way before that. Also the seaplane didn't appear at the Shanghai docks when I went to see if I could travel to the Boardwalk 15, 10 and 5 minutes before start time.

Yet even thought the time has come and gone, the furore is still listed in my Mission list for Wednesday at 03:15. I'm wondering if it means *next* Wednesday - but the furores listing at City Hall only goes up to next Friday.

Bizarre. Also wondering if this means I wont be able to book another furore since this one is still in my Missions list.

Today I still have the message "You have a ticket to a Carousel Furore at the Battery Boardwalk on Wednesday at 03:15" in my Missions list. I can only assume this means Wednesday 13 June - which isn't even listed yet on the Upcoming Furores page. As far as I can see others have been playing furores without any trouble so maybe this was a weird one-off glitch.

However, I now have a nemmy task to complete during a furore - so will apparently have to wait until next Wednesday to complete it. Unless there is a kind admin or moderator (in the wings somewhere?) who can set me free? *Crosses fingers*

I don't think next Wednesday will work either, Theo, you'll probably need somebody to remove that ticket off your missions list. :/

I noticed a missing furore once (on May 26, 10 days ago-ish, never got around to trying to figure out what was up though) but I didn't win a ticket to it so I wasn't really in the same pickle. I did, however, take a screenshot so as to be able to heckle people about it later. :)

The furore that ought to have been scheduled for 15:15 was missing, although I didn't notice if it was missing before it was scheduled to be the next furore, and I don't know if it registered as having occurred at all on the Boardwalk case page that displays the results of the last four furores.

Thanks for this, Bela. Actually, the furore I had the ticket for *did* initially appear on the Upcoming Furores list and another detective (st_petros) was already booked in. I then accepted an invitation to that furore and a little later saw that it had disappeared from the list. There was still about 20 mins to go until it started. I kept checking, waiting for the reminder in sleuth mail, and visiting the docks for the seaplane … nothing.

There don’t seem to be any admins around these days, except for Ben at the start of the day, so perhaps I’ll message him about it. I appreciate your input on this. It seems that furores can still have the odd glitch here and there!

Hmmm I'm pretty sure I can't cancel a task - though someone was going to make it so I could. Eh I too will rattle Ben's cage to see if he can cancel the task so you can at least get back on board. I hope it's got nothing to do with your current Neme task that is also associated with the furore...

Thank you Lady Jas and Secret Squirrel. I sent a message to Ben last night but no response yet.

@ Secret Squirrel: my 'current' nemmy task (i.e.the only one in my Mission list) is the one I need to be cancelled. If Bela is correct then it won't *disappear* next Wednesday but will just stay there clogging up the works.

Such a bizarre thing to have happened.

Apologies - just realised my logic error in above post. Yes, I was hoping to complete my current nemesis task during that furore - but, of course, they're two separate things.

Update

Deep joy. The furore task has vanished from my Mission list - and I've been able to get a ticket for another today. Thank you, Ben - or whoever solved the problem.

I'm just hoping that this next furore will go ahead as normal - no more glitches please : D

Yes, Ben informed me that he’d reset your furore ticket. Although he says that he makes no guarantees he hasn't broken something else doing it :)
