No, those banner ads aren't some spyware that's snuck onto your browser. Sleuth has joined a banner exchange program in order to drum up some more traffic. We've been stuck at a fairly contant number of players for awhile now, and would like the community to expand.

Leave any complaints or comments you have about them here. In particular, I want to know whether anybody is having page layout problems because of them.

I'm still getting used to them myself.

Hi, so did I. Spyware is so prevalent!

I don't mind having banners, but this one we're having is a little distracting. For one, it flashes too frequently. Would be nice if it doesn't animate so much. Second, does it have to be placed on the gameplay page? I'm trying very hard to concentrate on my cases, but keep getting distracted. If we can have them perhaps on the homepage or City News page, and logout page, perhaps, that will be good. Those are my complaints. :)

I think it's great to try to get the game to expand though.

I'm all for getting more traffic, however you need to, Ben. It will take some getting used to, but I've seen a LOT worse!!!

Does motion sickness from the constant flicker qualify as a 'complaint'? I totally support the idea of promoting Sleuth, so I'll just grab my dramamine and shut up. But...an idea... any chance of getting a higher paid subscription to opt out of it? I think this could be a real incentive to get folks to subscribe!

I loved the fact that Sleuthville was a banner free zone. It was 1st thing I noticed when I logged on. As long as ur sure it isn't connected w/spyware okay then. The ads look family friendly. I REALLY hate the ones that should be allowed only @ adult sites. If it helps u improve the site -k- then. I agree the ads could be at bottom where the FAQ links are. Just in case of questionable content.

I just subscribed for a long time yeseterday and the banners were a disapointment to find. I agree that it would be better for the banners to be on the bottom or the left side. I hope Sleuth grows, but it was so nice to find a fun game that was not connected to the flashing lights. The old time feel is lessened, I'd just hate to see Sleuth loose the 1920-30s charm.
I also agree about the no adult content or suggestive picture links (like all the Hook-Up sites). I come here to escape and have some fun. Those things would kill it for me.

They were getting to me, so I changed them to only show up for non-subscribers. Another selling point, I suppose.

Ok, I was confused.

(I didn't have any banners.)

Now I see they are just for non-subs.
