I have saved me some good money and was wondering what the benefits are of buying an apartment. Will it increase my skills in solving cases somehow?

Normally you can only store cases and change equipment in your agency. Having an apartment in a different city lets you do both of those while away from home. So yes, it can help in solving cases.

However, in order to do both of these things you will need to buy furniture. I think the cheapest equipment storage item is a chest of drawers at $30K. The cheapest case storage item is a file that that lets you store one case. I think it costs $10K.

Also, your agency team-mates can't help you solve any cases stored in your apartment. Only you have access to those.

Related question; what is the advantage of having a bigger apartment? Can you then perhaps buy more furniture to store more cases and equipment?

A bigger apartment has more rooms and therefore gives you more floor space for furniture. Each item of furniture uses up a certain amount of floor space so you are more limited in a smaller apartment.

I'd say it very much depends on your circumstances, things like which city your agency's in, and which contacts you and your agency team-mates have in the various cities.

Having said that I seem to remember I went for Delhi because it was the place I most often got annoyed by during villain hunts.

See, my dilemma now is either London or Shanghai.

London because I can always ask for books to retrieve, and Shanghai because much closer to our Agency by 1 case if ever I want to move equipments. I'm not sure about my reasons. But thats what I'm thinking right now.
