Hello everyone. I’ll be hosting another game of Resistance, and I encourage all lurkers from the previous game(s) to come out and play! We’ll keep it simple with just gameplay and no story this time. And if you’ve never played before, feel free to jump right in, because we all need more imaginary problems to worry about. :)

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

Okay I have been debating between three teams
1) The exact team Bela proposed and was rejected
2) The team Zara proposed the RESISTANCE: Sal, Sindy, shell, Zara, miss snopes.
And finally
3)Shell, Zara, Miss Snopes, Ty and Aspen

My team is
Shell
Zara
Miss Snopes
Ty
Aspen

Shell, please let me know your opinion about the situation we are in. And please let me know the reason why you picked this team. I have to admit that I suspect you a lot. But it's not so clear as Sal + sindy. So I need to know your thought to learn what I should do.

Ty it is very simple why I chose this team above the other two. The first team was already rejected. The second team most likely will get rejected if I present it. So I needed a team that makes sense. We seem to pretty much agree Bela is a spy (on the off chance she is not, team one makes the most sense). You say Sindy is lying about you being a spy, so that would make her one. Did she also lie about Aspen? I don't know. So now I have Bela and Sindy as spies , now I go back to my original conclusion that Sal and Bela we're setting up who should vote succeed and who should sabatoge the mission 2. So the five left over are going on my mission 4 team.

Okay, I'm going to give this one last shot.

Look at this spy (Ty) who just a few posts ago was saying he thought the spy team was Sal, me, and Shell (whom he claims he had always had a feeling about) (based on what?) - or words to that affect. Now, all of a sudden she is his best confident and he wants her advice on Sal. If he were truly resistance, why would he still not be suspicious of Shell? She could still be a spy trying to get herself onto the 5th mission.

I'm not going to rehash everything I've posted previously.

Who tipped you off to the fact that you shouldn’t be giving away how you’re going to vote on teams on the message boards? Who has talked about spy strategy throughout this game?

Me.

This coming from a Resistance player who enjoys playing as a spy – not because I like deceiving people and being manipulative (I wasn’t lying about my stomach being in knots every time I had to post the first two times I played as Resistance), but because I like the mental challenge of that aspect of the game. What I have told you in this game is going to make it that much harder for me to play as a spy next time I actually do play as a spy and some of it, like the double spy team, were dearly held strategies that I wanted to try myself. I did it because I am Resistance, and I really want my team to win.

I’m not going to rehash everything else I’ve already posted. If it didn’t convince you when I said it the first time it’s not going to convince you just because I said it again.

Please think good and hard about your vote on this team.

I agree Sindy, everyone needs to think long and hard about this vote. If Zara believes what she said earlier then we know what team she will propose. It will be the fifth team and the one resistance will have to pin their hopes on.

I wonder about you because you are trying extremely hard to influence the vote. Also you and Bela have been pointing fingers at each other, it muddys the water if both of you are spies. Who do we believe?

My vote is in, hopefully everyone will give this team due consideration.
