Hello everyone. I’ll be hosting another game of Resistance, and I encourage all lurkers from the previous game(s) to come out and play! We’ll keep it simple with just gameplay and no story this time. And if you’ve never played before, feel free to jump right in, because we all need more imaginary problems to worry about. :)

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

How can you as resistance know that I am resistance? I stand by my rebuttal to Bela's slanderous accusations.

My third spy suspect, after reading through the posts again and knowing for sure who two of the spies are, is Zara Bande.

Your *third* suspect, Sindy?

Reading over the several posts you yesterday it sounds as if you have selected at least 5 spies:

- Ty and Aspen: due to what you claim The Announcer's PMs revealed
- Bela: see your statements given above at Jul-29-2017 14:16 and Jul-29-2017 16:13
- Zara: because my reasoning on the use of power cards and an earlier 6-1 vote differs from yours
- Sal: you have voiced suspicion against Sal - as others have - throughout the game (albeit you suddenly see to abandon this)

As I believe that Bela is most definitely a spy, and Sal is very likely to be also, I cannot accept that both Aspen AND Ty are spies. As yet I've made no decision which way to vote on this team. I look forward to hearing other players' views.

Thanks, Sindy, for revealing your allegiance to me and help me to figure out Aspen's allegiance too. I think your move is really good. Accusing me and Aspen will throw away an suspicion on you and keep at least 1 more your ally spy safe then you can sabotage 1 more mission. And it seems logical since the 1st mission including both of us was successful. So you can blame on the reason that because of 2 spies were on the same team. But Sindy, do you forget that this team was proposed by me? And this team got only 1 sabotage?

My suggestion to Resistance, since Aspen and Bela are next in line for leadership is to vote down this team and the next two until leadership falls to Shell and hope she gets some good cards that will give her the necessary info to pick out the third spy.

I haven't abandoned Sal - see my post above, Zara. I said I can't figure out which of them is the remaining spy. However, after going over the thread again with my newfound knowledge some of your posts make my nose itch, Zara.

That's why I was having a hard time determining who the spies were even though I had strong suspicions - because they were putting each other on their teams - something that in the past has been considered "not done" by spies but which for that very reason is *great* spy cover.

Resistance, if you reread the thread and look at the votes with the point of view that Aspen and Ty are spies, I think you will come to the conclusion that will lead Resistance to a win on this Mission.

@ Ty,

Ty, you're just a great big red spy flag waving in the breeze. Every post you make says, "Hi, I'm a spy."

Here's are the pros and cons in my mind regarding Sal:

1. He skipped over Ty who I now know is a spy.
2. However, he skipped over Ty to put me and AspenK (another spy on his team)? Why would he skip over Ty to avoid a spy and then put another spy on his team? It would look a little *too* suspicious if he skipped over too many people?
3. He has (to me at least) acted somewhat out of character throughout this game, but I have only played one other Resistance game with him.
4. In the Resistance game I played with him he was Resistance and as Resistance he skipped over players to include players further down the list because as he said lots of times the players at the bottom of the list don't really get to be involved in game play (if it's a large game). My point being it's not out of character for him as a Resistance player to skip over other players.

5. Sal was all to willing to vote "no" on his own team to pass leadership down to Ty.

@ Ty (2)

Yes, you did put AspenK on your team, but you also posted this after doing so:

Just sent the PM. Let's see what will happen:

1) First of all, I AM A RESISTANCE. And I am gonna prove that to you by this mission.

2) Sindy Voted No for this team? So weird. Is there any reason, Sindy, to refuse a team with you? Is that you wanna deny this team then team up with Bela for some reasons?

2) I hope my selection with Sindy in this team is right and the mission is going to be successful. If, just in case, we fail this mission, I will keep an eye on you, Sindy and maybe, your ally, Bela (I think)

________

Item No. 1) hit me the second I read it. You were basically saying you were going to vote SUCCEED on the boards. Evidently, AspenK didn't catch your meaning.

It seems you are very excited, sindy :D

It's easy to say anything and explain everything which you had conclusion already. Whatever, you and me now are definitely on the opposite sides. If you are resistance, so I will be a spy and otherwise. I think it's obvious to people. So let people give their conclusion based on the game process. Hope they will find the both sides we belong to :D
