Hello everyone. I’ll be hosting another game of Resistance, and I encourage all lurkers from the previous game(s) to come out and play! We’ll keep it simple with just gameplay and no story this time. And if you’ve never played before, feel free to jump right in, because we all need more imaginary problems to worry about. :)

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

Apologies for missing the vote, people. It's not like me to miss deadlines - I was so sure I already HAD voted. Anyhow it doesn't make any difference to the outcome - my vote would have been YES in any case.

Aspen, I have to agree with you. It really is beginning to look as if Sal and Sindy may be 'spy partners'. And Sindy, yes Sal has another card to play - but if he is a spy he will surely play it in such a way as to protect his partner ; )

I thought *I* was Sal's partner? Or is everyone on this team a spy - except of course AspenK.

I really wish I *was* a spy in this game because this would be a gravy boat full of spy fodder. :D

Here's what has me second-guessing my thought that Sal is Resistance.

Let's think about this for a minute.

Let me start by saying that I'm Resistance. While I know only my allegiance, I can see from the selection of this first team that Zara's allegiance doesn't look like it is Resistance. I'm already thinking she's a spy. She says she's going straight down the middle to choose Bela as her teammate in round 1, stepping over Sal like a muddy doormat.

HOWEVER, in this game we're not supposed to read anything into the fact that he stepped over Ty "like a muddy doormat."

He says he did this because "He's worried about his English, so I will try to give ham a mission to poke and probe get settled in before he has to select a team. "

Sounds good, but I could come up with a reason that would sound good too. As a spy, you have to - because you know what you're about to do will look suspicious to others.

I'm going to be out and about doing other things so to save time and keep things moving, if the Announcer says I can still use my NO CONFIDENCE card that's what I want to do.

Sorry, just catching up here. I think you want me to use the In The Spotlight on you in the event the mission is Sabotaged. If it's not, there's no point of using it as that power is after the completion of a mission right? I get confused with them and as the last game showed, I don't always read them the same as everyone else.

If the situation calls for it, I will do as you ask, in spite of the strong urge I will have to use it on myself if this mission fails..

My head is spinning. Why no confidence Sindy? Do you believe Sal's a spy or not? Your back to back post has me confused. Are you both spies and using the no confidence card is the only way to keep the heat off of both of you for a while longer?
