Favors are messing up

I've noticed this on Autumn (and cro magnon has also experienced it.) But I just had it happen on one of my other detectives. I've solved 5 cases in a row and still no favor. Five! Yes, she had traveled but surely that wouldn't change things so I was required to solve double the cases to get a favor. (And that's assuming I get a favor after solving six... Not going to hold my breath on that one.) If travel affected case counts that much we would be aware of it before now. So unless something has changed, favors are messed up. And for those of us who participate in treasure hunts, it's VERY frustrating. Cro and I have both reported it and mentioned it on the boards. Is anyone else seeing this problem? It can't just be the two (three?) of us.

Ah. But you're right, something is up in that case, because if you had a favour waiting in the previous city that you didn't play, you shouldn't have had to play more than 4 cases to get the next one.

I did a day's worth of normal cases yesterday and got a favour every 3 cases as usual; did no travelling in between.

I had it for a while that it was almost a given that I needed to play 4 regular cases to get a favor. And no, I didn't travel. That bane seems to be over now but I better knock on wood.

I travelled to New York, did one case and got a favour.

That's normal, Zara; if you play two cases in one city and don't have a favour pending before travelling to your next city, you're still on track to doing your third case anywhere else and being asked to do a favour for somebody in the new city.

I'll take a closer look at the flow and see if I can spot anything but the actual code that decides whether or not you get a favour hasn't been changed for years. Probably since 2004 to be honest!

Switching between agencies can also wipe a favour you're currently holding.

Ty Bela. : ) I'm pretty sure I went straight to New York before playing any cases today - and didn't have more than one solved case carried over from yesterday. Might have misremembered but don't think so.

However, the vast majority of the time I have a favour after every 3 solved cases, so these other instances are quite rare.
