Sleuthville's Pet Control has noticed that a particular pet is being neglected. The SPC is preparing to intervene to make sure it receives the attention it is due. ;-)

I'm beginning to think Dorian is related to Shady... :(

I'm sure they are identical twins. :)

@ Tyranomaster3 - Furores are not for everyone. Personally I don't like them. The only reason I did them was to get a pet and now I do them only as a nemmy task.

Your idea of a nursing service is a good one. :-)

Half a mil is outrageous, sorry. I get it, we need to be coerced to keep playing furores whether we like it or not. And I do say coerced because half a mil leaves you only a few options.

There are several wrongs with this. At the very least your pet should only drop to zero stats and not go into negative like you are worse off then when you didn't have a pet.

Also, those furores drain your money away if you want to stand a chance to win more than one ring. When I played furores my money stagnated as playing favors was barely enough to cover the expenses of all that cotton candy.

Aside from all that we also need to build up a cushion in case we get FA's. Being forced to play furores to cover for a random thing like your pet becoming ill makes all this quite a burden.

So either the cost of the medication needs to go drastically down, or the price of cotton candy or the stats shouldn't go into negative.

The cost in term of rings is not quite expensive. That's why I said we have to earn an excess number of rings as a backup plan.

However, there should be an option for people to release their pets. So if they feel uncomfortable to be stuck with the pets and their advantage and problem, they can give it up.

I hate furores. So, I have to play them to not get negative stats... I am giving up on getting my pet snake. Sorry, Severus, the idea of you was loved, but you are not worth it.

I'm actually in the process of lowering the price now, both in terms of rings and money. Right now I've got it penciled in as $100,000, or 20 brass rings. A perfectly cared for pet can last for over half a year before they get sick, so I think that balances out better. At absolute worst it's slugging through 10 days of Furores (though thanks to the bots it should be faster than that for most people).

Dorian will also be selling some extra items/services to those who already have a pet, namely training services and a happiness booster if you've been forced to leave your pet for a while.

I'm definitely interested in somewhere to release or store pets, but I want to hold off on that until I've finished the mobile update, which is currently penciled in for testing in early October (though take that with a pinch of salt).

Aw man, if I knew the price would be lowered soon, I wouldn't have forked over such an exorbitant price. :(

Hopefully Yeti or Dorian will give you a post-purchase rebate?

Thank you, Yeti. $100,000/20 brass rings sounds much more reasonable.

And I'm wildly anticipating that mobile update!

I'm guessing you paid in rings, glasse?
