Sleuthville's Pet Control has noticed that a particular pet is being neglected. The SPC is preparing to intervene to make sure it receives the attention it is due. ;-)

I wish we could upload pictures of our own pets for the avatars of our fully grown Sleuth pets.

Yikes, Dorian's medicine is expensive! Inflation must be running rampant over at the Boardwalk.

Glasse - did you actually have to pay Dorian in brass rings? Or was it the usual feeding and grooming?

It was either payment in brass rings or cash money ($500,000, to be exact).

I wish it had only been feeding and grooming! Apparently pets can get sick even if you take good care of them.

$500,ooo is RIDICULOUS!! What were you thinking of Yeti? Now I wonder whether pets are really worth it. I no longer think so. :-(

There is still another option using the rings. That's why you should keep playing the furore. I think that cost is reasonable to keep people active.

However, since people sometimes get busy, I suggest that we should have a nursing service so the pet will not be abandoned.

Half a million sleuth dollars? Good heavens. So if a detective is unwell themselves, and unable to log in, feed their pet etc - s/he also has a huge debt when they return. I agree with Ty and others here - some kind of pet creche should be available in situations like those. A (reasonable) fee for this could be deducted form the detective's personal account while they're away.

However, if a detective is logging in regularly but simply neglecting their pet, then it might be justified to 'fine' them a higher fee.

@ glasse - how many brass rings did Dorian ask for?

Or alternately, Dorian could supply us with some kind of preventive medicine payable in either brass rings or money (needless to say that the price should be reasonable and not absurd like the present one), if the detective knows that s/he won't be able to log in for a period of time. What really worries me is that the pets can get sick even if well cared for. It doesn't seem fair. That should only be a measure of "punishment" for those who don't provide good care for their pets.

I'm sure they are identical twins. :)
