A number of bug fixes and adjustments have been popped into the game today with relation to the Boardwalk content.

Significant bug fixes:

* Players who have had problems with Furores kicking them out instead of letting them start should no longer have this problem.

* The Mirror Clues should be displayed properly on the case page.

Significant adjustments:

* There'll now be eight Furores a day, but players are limited to two tickets.

* There's a Furore schedule in the City Hall, so they can be viewed anywhere except Shangri-La.

* An accessory can now be stored almost entirely without complaint with Jonny the cotton candy seller.

* After 40 minutes the Hall of Mirrors will become significantly easier to solve.

* Any players engaging in espionage will now find there's a delay between uses.

* Clues will immediately re-drop after a player finishes the Furore.

* The 'community clue' locations, i.e. the helter skelter, cinema and telescope will potentially change clues with a clue drop, making them worth revisiting.

* It's now only possible to gain one clue at a time from the roller coaster (though you will still have up to three chances to get that one clue).

* If you're the last player standing the big wheel and roller coaster queues will disappear.

* A badly written Furore read me has appeared.

* Furore ticket offers can be turned off from the Options menu on the Detective Page.

As ever please let me know if you spot any bugs/typos. There's good odds I'll be hanging out in chat whilst Furores are going on for the near future, so feel free to drop in there if there's any problems. Happy Sleuthing.

Oh, Theo; I'm pretty sure people "leaving" the chat before the game are actually just being sucked in by the carousel vortex (I'm not sure if they get to begin any faster, I almost always seem to be the last to leave, but for the sake of my sanity I believe that everybody in chat is isolated for a few seconds or something right before the furore begins. If it isn't so, I'm not sure I want to know about it. :P).

So yeah, definitely don't leave chat right before a furore if you can help it. If there are any caveats to that, I'm sure Yeti will pop up with some answers on a silver platter. :D

When the Furore starts you're placed on the horse. So if you've thrown yourself out of chat like some sort of maniac then you need to ride the prancing dancers yourself to kick your Furore off.

lol I did that once - clicked leave chat because my browser was lagging to start a furore - but it didn't work so I had to ride the horses myself and ended up wasting more time than just waiting for the browser to reload. xD

Oh that's good to know Yeti. I had that happen to me, I left the chat because I was in there for a long time after the counter reached zero. Since my browser was hanging up at times I figured that was my problem, but then didn't know how to rejoin the match. Now I know.

I left early once too but I didn't know you could rejoin by riding the horse. I was getting pop ups about furore back in Cairo ;)

I tried to do this just now (joining a game I was late to by one minute) but clicking on riding the horses only kicked me back to the map. I tried clicking riding again but didn't get in the game that way.

Bela - I love the idea of a 'carousel vortex'. It gives a real Dr Who-ish ambience to the furores : )

Yeti - I did not thrown myself out of chat 'like some sort of maniac'. I stepped out elegantly and non-maniacally, in my usual manner . Ok I had a pink peacock under one arm, was shaking a tambourine with the other, was dancing along in clogs with a parrot on my shoulder, but you have to live a little, right?

glasse - I also tried clicking on the 'prancing dancers' but it threw me back to the login screen. After logging in again, and clicking on them again, I just got the close-up picture of the horse's head with the one-liner beneath it.

Moral: never leave pre-chat, wait for the vortex.

Glasse you have to be in the chat before the game starts. It's just if anything happens to you whilst you're in the chat (disconnection for example, or the redirect doesn't work properly) you've got a manual option to kick things into gear.

So yes as you say Theo, the moral for everyone is get in the chat wait for the vortex. ;-) I'm afraid it's not possible to leave the chat in a non-maniacal manner though, no matter how hard one tries.

Thanks Theo; that's exactly what I thought of after I "said" it too. :D You can never go wrong with a little Doctor Who. :)
