With the firm application of bolt cutters the rusty padlock on the gates of the Boardwalk has been prised off. For a small fee at the ticket booth Detectives can take some down time to wander around the Boardwalk.
Whilst familiarising yourselves with the layout is a great idea, the real meat of the Boardwalk is the Carousel Furore; the times for these are listed on the case tab. The main way to get tickets is by solving cases at Really Really Hard or above in difficulty (the higher the difficulty, the better your chances). Your best chances of getting a ticket are an hour before a Furore is due to start, but if the tickets are gone they're gone.
Finally there is a second type of ticket; a back-up ticket. They will not be hard to find.
Happy sleuthing, and as ever please let me know when the bugs crop up and I'll deal with them ASAP.

Perhaps you could make the furore more frequent than every 3 hours.

I dropped into the chat-room in Coffee Arabica as I'd never visited before. Was surprised to see that it shows what is happening in the current furore. I wonder if this happens in all the bar/coffee shop chat-rooms in Noir? Guess I'll have to investigate.

Yes it does St Valentine. You can watch how everyone is doing in any of the chats. Not sure about the floating tin cans chat though. I never tried there.

I'm feeling a bit dense this morning because I've sat here for 5 minutes trying to figure out where the floating tin cans chat is....are you talking about the Boardwalk chat? If so, you can follow the furore there also. If not, what am I missing?

LOL yes, I think shell means the Fountain Chat. XD Yes, you should be able to follow a furore from any chat room. :D

Sorry, but the floating tin can I was referring too is actually a bit bigger, the USS Sleuthetania. Even though every time I get on it I feel claustrophobic.

Haha. I know, I just picked the days I wouldn't be logging in much to go on a cruise. XD

I would like to see a "Ring the Bell" or Strong man" game at the Battery Boardwalk - maybe as a random alternative to the pinball machine. Only the Sleuth version should have Shady's face plastered to the platform you smack with the mallet. Even better if during play you hit a high enough number and he has to pay out some money!
