I've been awake since 2:00 this morning, and with nothing better to do I've been digging around Sleuth. One of the things I noticed on the Game Information page is the game stats. As of this moment, the number of games played is 6,291,995.

Number of games quit: 430,999

Number of False Accusations: 665,479

More than 10% of all cases result in a False Accusation. (I guess there are more gamblers here at Sleuth than I thought.)

Approximately 6% of all cases are quit.

More cases result in False Accusations than in a player quitting.

Now, math is not my strong suit so if my deductions here are incorrect, please feel free to point out my inaccuracies.

Not necessarily a case of gambling. Distraction or lack of focus usually give me FAs. I got most of my FAs from playing easy cases.

Most new players don't stick around, it's a case of trying some cases, maybe getting a false accusation, then leaving forever. I'd put the quits down to the regulars, and the FAs down to newbies.

I was wondering, how long does a player have to be inactive before he's officially labeled "inactive?"

My remark about gambling was tongue-in-cheek. I have a paid Shady plenty in my Sleuth career and always due to not paying attention to my game. When I was a young detective and Shady's fees weren't so much I guessed a few times, but not in a long, looong time have I done so. :)

I'd say the opposite Yeti, FA's to regulars like me and quits to the newbies who already quit.

I think it's around 30 days, Sindy, if memory serves.

I wouldn't have thought new players would be interested in quitting cases Jintan. Just make an account, four cases. Maybe solve a couple, get a FA or two, then run out of cases and never touch it again. If regulars were racking up FAs like that everyone would be broke and retired.

Too many, unfortunately. The only people who prob'ly have a chance of finding out those numbers are Ben or Sunny. And I'm not entirely sure I want to know. :-/
