Hello everyone. It's been some time since we've had a game of Resistance, so I'll be hosting one (without story) for everyone to enjoy. If you've never played before, feel free to jump right into the world of uncertainty and lies. I promise lots of fun. :)

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

I would like to give the go-ahead for the picked team, because I think it might be a clean one (other than Sindy, of course). I'm still not sure if Bela said she would use the card on Sindy in such a case, though. This could be an easy win for the Resistance.

Because that's what spies do, Cathy. They spread misinformation and cast the net of suspicion as broad as possible to limit their chance of being caught.

Doing the unexpected thing is the best way to do that.

If Bela had given the card to one of her fellow spies and later one of them was outed by someone else as a spy, then both spies would be outed. But if she gives the card to a resistance member who outs her as a spy, then yes, she casts suspicion on herself, but she also casts suspicion on the person she gave the card to. How dangerous did this card turn out to be to Bela here? When I said, Bela is a spy, did anyone believe me? Quite the opposite.

I don't know if you perverted the truth deliberately or whether you've misunderstood, but to clear things up; ESTABLISH CONFIDENCE reveals the leader's identity (so Bela's).

Quite honestly, I'm so flustered about this whole mess that I honestly don't remember anymore what I did to get myself into it.

Who I think are Resistance so far (in order of discovery):

Lou. Devi. Autumn. Bela.

Who I think are the Imperial Spies:

Yeti. Jintan. Sindy.

I hope I'm not wrong, but if this isn't true then nothing makes sense anymore.

Okay, you know what. It's not clear what's going down with the card and mission and Devi and Lou haven't told me which way they were voting, so I'm going to leave this one to fate.

I really need a break from this game.

Cathy when Sindy outed that Bela is a spy, then Bela or Sindy must be spy because someone must be lying. And if you really think that Bela is resistance, then after that, you should instantly consider that Sindy is spy. So your first discovery should be Sindy as spy. Then if Bela is resistance, then either Devi or Yeti is spy because of the first failed mission. Then the order is Sindy, Yeti then Me (because I am suspicious). How did you come up to your order of discovery? That is kinda of twisted.

And what's interesting here is. If Bela is spy, then there is a chance that Yeti is a spy too. If not, 2 people that we have no clue of is a spy. But if Sindy is a spy, then either Yeti or Devi is a spy. And I think I will bandwagon on Sindy+(Yeti/Devi) just because it will makes the game a little easier for the resistance. This game already took a lot of toll on my daily routine.

Haven't read the whole thing yet, working on it.

But Cathy is this bit directed towards me?

"Also, you're supposed to really distrust Jintan if you're Resistance, so why are you considering his statements, and isn't it suspicious to you that he's been defending Yeti this whole time, and that he has not once included him as a possible suspect in his calculations? "

Jintan isn't responsible for me thinking there is a spy on the team.
