Hello everyone. It's been some time since we've had a game of Resistance, so I'll be hosting one (without story) for everyone to enjoy. If you've never played before, feel free to jump right into the world of uncertainty and lies. I promise lots of fun. :)

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

Wow just read all the above, ok resistance we took a hit but it's not critical, this is the great part of this game, as to who's the spy it's too early to tell, I agree with Mr Jintan, read and think, my son says that playing it as a live game is much easier, because you have all the non verbal clues to work with. So I agree with Bella's logic on this team proposal and think it's a pretty smart move, so I'll be voting no on this team.

All Resistance players, I implore you to take Lou and Jintan's advice and really think.

The reason Bela doesn't want me to have the opportunity to get my hands on any power cards is because she knows darn well that if I get anything decent I'll use it on her. And by picking the team she has, she has absolutely ensured that will not happen.

Not only that, she has put me in a position to take the fall if I unwittingly pick one of her *true* spy cohorts on the team I put together – if it will even pass. In which case, she is just one step closer to getting team leadership to one of her fellow spies.

For your first time out as a spy, Bela, you're doing a bang-up job.

Just remember, I am not the one who was on a team that was sabotaged. I am not the one who voted for a team that was sabotaged.

And, most tellingly, she kept the IN THE SPOTLIGHT power for herself.

I just remembered, I've got to post my vote on the thread don't I? I've never had the joy of OPINION MAKER earlier on before.

Predictably, I vote NO to Bela's line up.

Can you really blame Bela for wanting to hold onto a power, Sindy? I'd have thought anyone would want to do that. Resistance or spy. You see I thought the fact you voted NO to the first mission was a point in your favour, but going after her for holding onto a power is just slinging muck. I'm starting to reconsider my opinion on the Bela-Sindy spy debate.

I love the way you say "I'm starting to reconsider my opinion on the Bela-Sindy spy debate." It really sounds, you aren't even in our slightest consideration for spy. Bravo! No sarcasm there. Just compliment.

The way Yeti is trying, i'm really pegging him to be resistance here. Also, Bela nor Devi aren't going for Yeti. My thinking is really either Bela or Devi. One of which is really getting a feel for the other.

Also someone told me that her allegiance is spy. She is my senpai. Guess who "she" is.

Well, obviously SOMEONE sabotaged the first mission. I would think if she was resistance she would have used it on your or Devi to determine which one of you sabotaged it. But, since she didn't use it, I think that speaks volumes.

Or maybe I'm misunderstanding how IN THE SPOTLIGHT works.

Wait, Jintan, are you saying that you talked about this game with another player outside of the Message Baord?

I don't think that cards work backwards for previous missions.

Who I think could be the three spies:

1- Yeti. Said he was a spy, accused me of being a spy, acted suspiciously, didn't make sense, and backed up the failed mission.
2- Bela or Sindy. It's obvious that one of them is a spy.
3- jintan or autumnsprings. Either autumn really told jintan she was a spy, or jintan has decided to try to sell her to us as a spy because he is the spy. jintan may be bonkers, but he's not an idiot.

end of transmission
