Hello everyone. It's been some time since we've had a game of Resistance, so I'll be hosting one (without story) for everyone to enjoy. If you've never played before, feel free to jump right into the world of uncertainty and lies. I promise lots of fun. :)

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

It's really just my word against Sindy's for now; DW, Cathy, thanks for laying out all the possible deductions too. Sindy, I'm sure you can do better than that - I will accept the congratulations though. Since only I *know* that you're a spy, I have to check you whenever I can. I can only hope that the others are neutral (distribute cards among themselves, at the very least), and that they don't enable you.Let's see what kind of team Sindy proposes.

Mission 2? San 3 people from the first mission which has failed? You kidding me? Bela you chose this?

Best play here is to pick 2 people from the last mission and 1 new that everyone has confidence on. And based on the cards we should highlight one of the 2 from the first mission. That way we can at least learn something. Its not always in the wordings and talking guys. Its about making plays and optimal choices.

IF YOU ARE RESISTANCE, I AM SHOUTING THAT YOU VOTE NO.

Devi, I said earlier why a spy could reveal to a resistance member; to avoid dragging another spy down with them further down the line. Only those two players know who the spy is between them.

Frankly I think it makes most sense if Bela is the spy. Whether she's resistance or spy, nuking Sindy's powers makes sense so long as Sindy is on the opposing side. Consequently I think it unlikely they're on the same side. It'd be bad luck for Bela as a resistance member to stumble into a three person mission with a spy on it, and THEN reveal herself to a spy.

So Bela a spy, Devi and Sindy resistance. Or alternatively, Devi and Sindy spies, Bela resistance, just Bela being the spy seems so much more likely.

Ah Cathy, still insistent on my spy credentials. That reading of my post was quite the surprise. I hope I don't drop any more inadvertent "secret messages".

What i mean is if the mission fails, you dont pick the same people + 1 to the new mission. That ia just basic.

If the 3 people from the first mission says they are resistance, it should be already 3 votes of No + me. We need to keep the ball rolling anyway to see everyone's choices of ally. Because we now might come to the 5-man mission in which if you can remember, we have 5 resistance so no room for error.

I am begging everyone not to just focus on the talks, think also. Thanks

Jintan, Bela crafted this mission specifically with the intention of everyone voting it down. Read her posts again.

If Bela really makes sense as a spy, i'd say we go for Devi Yeti + 2 new. And highlight on Devi probably, i was really hoping Yeti isnt a spy. That would make my talking less.

A Yeti, Devi, Sindy and Jintan team would be interesting, but it'd certainly be a risk. I look forward to seeing what Sindy proposes, maybe it'll help make Bela's position more clear.

Yup is have read ot after my post. She isnt trying then. Passing the guilt is a spy signature move. Still what we need is 2 from the first mission and 2 new one of which everyone has agreed. We will have something after that for sure.

Why would you pick 2 from a mission that failed, and where it's possible that there were 2 spies?
