As Miss Hawkeye will be quite busy doing background work on the Olympics, this round of Resistance will return to its original format. There will be no story to accompany the missions, but everything else will work the same as usual.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

Even if this mission passes, all it proves is that Molly isn't a spy. Just that she's the most suspicious resistance player ever. Devi though, *is* still a spy. We can't allow her on the final mission!

Unless the Announcer is playing a cruel trick on me, I think we might actually stay afloat to see another round. You spies won't say anything either way, but I shall tentatively look forward to another scary round of picking players. And while it might be too late (and I see a sledgehammer in the distance), I think Sal is Resistance. Explosions! (Of course, if this mission fails, Sal and Yeti are Resistance, but the game will be over too.)

Sal, unless there were two spies on that team, any spy on it would choose to help the mission SUCCEED (be forced to vote SUCCEED); a single SABOTAGE vote doesn't mean the mission fails and can only tip off Resistance players that the team isn't clean after all. I think I trust DW, and I even trust Molly more or less - so if you're Resistance, jroepel's a spy - and that's confusing.

Mission 4, Team 1 consisting of Devi, Justin, Molly, and Bela was a SUCCESS.

The team members voted as follows:
???? SUCCEED
???? SUCCEED
???? SUCCEED
???? SUCCEED

Devi has chosen to use STRONG LEADER. Leadership will now pass to her.

Man, you're a spy once in this game and no one ever lets it go!

I think the key here is not to become divided. I have a gut feeling about who the Resistance players are. I think we've got them all on this team. What I propose is that we analyze this carefully. Even myself! Since I'm apparently a spy suspect. Ask yourselves what jroepel has done and what opportunities he's had to sabotage/ incriminate himself as a spy. Ask yourselves about Sal and myself. Joseph and Yeti are our spies, we know this. Who is most likely to be a conspirator with them?

From a gameplay standpoint I absolutely cannot put my faith one hundred percent in Sal as Resistance. This is purely because on at least two occasions he had to benefit the Resistance, he didn't. He didn't put Bela on his team after confirming her allegiance. Although this CAN be explained by forgetfulness, one who is Resistance should of course stack his or her team with Resistance members no questions asked.

He also did not play his In the Spotlight in moments that now seem crucial. Instead, like you said Bela, he chose a throwaway. What I mean by this, is even though I can confirm I am Resistance you folks cannot. However, only one possible spy could have made it on this team since we are aware (abundantly) that Yeti and Joseph are spies. Therefore there's no way this mission could be sabotaged. Playing this card on this mission is useless. We could have used it to identify a spy in much more telling missions prior. This move makes sense to me only if Sal KNEW he was throwing his power away.

As far as jroepel goes, he of course had opportunity to sabotage the two missions that failed. However, given the interaction (none) between jroepel and JZ to cue each other as to whether to sabotage or succeed I think its far more likely that JZ sabotaged both those missions knowing he wouldn't run into any conflict with two spies on one team both voting sabotage- he was surrounded by Resistance each time.

As for myself I feel its abundantly obvious that I have been utterly railroaded by Yeti and JZ. JZ sabotaged the first mission and immediately cast blame on me. If we were both spies, I would imagine he would target jroepel instead (or vice versa) to keep his team mate playing. Does that make sense? From a strategic standpoint, Molly, JZ and Yeti working together as spies makes zero sense, however you folks may see something I dont. Its always hardest to analyze oneself.

You've got my thoughts on this, but DW I think you know the right thing to do. The Resistance is so close to a win. Changing the team now could invite disaster I feel, but I respect your decision either way.
