As Miss Hawkeye will be quite busy doing background work on the Olympics, this round of Resistance will return to its original format. There will be no story to accompany the missions, but everything else will work the same as usual.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

Also why are you changing your stance on Sal? He was your first pick in the game, are you purposely distancing yourself from him now for a particular reason?

Sal was my first pick that's right, when I had no information to go on beyond knowing Devi was a spy. Now that the game has gone on a little longer and Sal made that very odd move with his team pick, he's looking more suspicious. To be honest he should be bringing up a big red flag right now to any resistor, which makes the fact he doesn't appear to be raising a red flag to you quite telling.

Unlike you, dear, I'm trying not to jump to harsh judgments, conclusions or rash actions since I don't want to eat my words later. CALMLY I asked Sal to explain, and though it is fishy.... I can see how the error could be made. Well. Kinda.
In any case I was not planning on electing Sal for my next team if you MUST KNOW, Dad. -_- eliminating you, DW and Sal for safeties sake I'm considering Justin, Joseph and myself. Thoughts?

I couldn't vote for that team, not with you on it. At the moment I think the only team I might seriously consider voting YES for would be a Justin, Joseph and Bela one.

For the sake of clarity that's the only team I'd consider voting YES for once Devi, myself and Sal have been taken out of the running. Obviously I'd also be fine with a team containing myself and any combination of Justin, Joseph, and Bela.

Since my friend, Yeti, seems disquieted by my lack of explanation (althought it seems I've done a lot of it) I will go a bit further. You posted 3 scenarios for me recently. I will now grade them. Possibility number1 was correct. Number 2 had elements of truth to it. I am NOT a spy, but I did have what I thought to be a Resistance team lined up and forgot to make the change after learning Bela's affiliation, and number 3 is just plain wrong..

Yeti you are a master of obfuscation. Everyone else, please take note.

Excuse me for about 12 hours. I am playing in a charity golf outing today. I mention this in case other questions arise. I am simply absent and not avoiding anything.

Vive la resistance!!

Could the stars really align? When we first saw the 3 'no' votes (Mission 1, Team 2), I thought too, hm, that can't be our list of spies... or could it? So I lay low, I was careful not to point fingers as much as I could. Again and again the same names came back with lots of question marks on them.

I will not point out the obvious, but just two obscure ones: For Sal's team, Yeti first said No to it with seemingly reasonable explanations, but when he vote it was a Yes. Why? Is it because that team was Sabotagable? (for the lack of a better term) Secondly, I feel that someone is trying to slip a spy into the double J team... Molly, you decide who you want in your team. If I feel it is a safe team, I'd vote yes.

"Laying low" honestly is a bit of an excuse though. I too had been super busy; just took kiddo to the themed park the whole day (with lots of tantrums too so he's not going anywhere until he learns to control it). So looking forward to summer being over :P Sal, hope you had an enjoying day golfing!

For those who don't fancy making their way back through several pages, the people who voted NO to Mission 1 Team 2 were myself, Sal, and Bela. Of course, the theory is way off track, but there's the information.

I also want to make clear that not only did I say I'd vote NO to Mission 2 Team 1, I DID vote NO to Mission 2 Team 1. Check again, Joseph.

Bela is being pushed onto this team by Yeti, and that makes me second guess. It's looking more possible to me that Yeti, Sal and Bela could be spies. Not only have I given no indication towards spy behavior, I feel the attempt to throw suspicion at me is weak at best with no foundation. I know I'm Resistance, so it would be asinine to keep myself off the team. Bela I wish I could trust you were also Resistance but it has not been confirmed by Sal, and the manner he proceeded was odd at best. Coupled with Yeti pushing for you, I just can't put you on in good conscience until we have more information.

So saying, I nominate myself, Joseph Zeo and jroepel for the next mission.
