As Miss Hawkeye will be quite busy doing background work on the Olympics, this round of Resistance will return to its original format. There will be no story to accompany the missions, but everything else will work the same as usual.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

Autumn, nah, Yeti has a point about the resistance and spy members needing to vote alike; any other method would just unnecessarily complicate the game. That's the only true point he has though...

Yeti is very logical, and perhaps in another context he could be right, but when it come to Devi on the receiver end, and with how the voting of the previous mission turned out, hm, perhaps Devi is clean for real...

I can see I'm doing a not-very-good job of being Resistance, and if it gets to the last mission we'll need all 4 true Resistance players there (otherwise, I'd really let you all go on as you are; I don't really know anything to be able to accuse people of stuff anyway. And I envy you all the certainty with which you can comfortably jump to conclusions (whether they're right or wrong :D) because I'm frightfully indecisive, and about the only person here without an opinion on the Yeti-DW stand-off).

I don't really have much to say to "defend" myself. Quite a few of you see 3 'no' votes and you know there are 3 spies, so that's that. I'm not very good at being all nefarious (yet); for the first few mission proposals, if I'm not on a team, I say no. And I hope somebody picks me the next time - that's it.

What would you all like to see Sal do with his power cards? He'll do what he wants to, but what are you trying for? I always have the best-case scenario in my head and I stick to it stubbornly; when my first clue on a VH is not a NOT clue...yeah, that's offensive. So far only Yeti's put those ideas out (like he always does :D) and then DW, Joseph, and jroepel thought that was suspicious.

For the record, I would like to get OPEN UP, or have somebody OPEN UP to me (I don't even mind if you're a spy, I'll get to jump in and throw a few taunts around too :P); basically me me me :D This is around the fourth time I'm typing this me me me thing in three days, but possibly the first time I might be posting it. I'm last on the player list, and it'll probably be a while until I get to do something, so help me out here. And don't go giving me OPINION MAKER or something like that.

Ooh, something I'd wondered about before: DW, you said you picked Joseph and that was a gamble, but picking one of the "others" about whom you know nothing would be "even more of a gamble" (CONTINUED)

I actually don't mind your logic, or having Sal use his card on any of the other players in the game.. I feel like the Yeti versus DW debate has taken center stage and I for one would like to pull some of the less vocal players into the fray to find out their allegiance, their theories etcetera. Not to slam either DW or Yeti, mind you! I just want to hear from the others. XD

Yeah, I re-read my post and it got a little harsh before it became silly again; I was just trying to figure out where everybody else is coming from and what ideas they might have for the power distribution, and I'm not bashing DW or Yeti either - obviously they know something we don't and they actually *have* something to argue about. I'm secretly (well, not any more) rooting for both of them to be spies :D

It's ok Bela, I got it. Frankly, given our friendship, I'd have chosen you, but I didn't get a good grip on which side you're on, so..

By the way, remember that record you set before with the "most delayed reply in history". I think you beat it since I texted you back and I'm still waiting :))))
