As Miss Hawkeye will be quite busy doing background work on the Olympics, this round of Resistance will return to its original format. There will be no story to accompany the missions, but everything else will work the same as usual.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

You're trying to stitch me up, Devi, and I won't have it!

I'm trying to stitch YOU up? Are you going to start playing the victim now, after all the lies you said about me? Drama queen, much?

I'm a drama queen? You're the one who got so flustered after being outed that you threatened to show everyone fake screen shots. At the expense of your place in the game, no less!

You might have bought yourself some perceived legitimacy by voting SUCCESS on the last mission, but frankly you should have gone for SABOTAGE whilst you had the chance. Your long term position as a spy is not tenable.

Like you are going to do when and if you hit a team, you mean? That's your strategy, Yeti, not mine. I'm just being truthful. And I was hurt (am) by your lying, and I'd still do that to prove I'm resistance. What point would there be to it if I'm actually a spy and get kicked out and point my finger to you, an actual spy and eff up your efforts? It makes no sense.

It makes sense as a calculated move designed to win trust, "Oh Devi is willing to get herself thrown out of the game. What she's saying must be true."

It's underhanded, it's not in the spirit of the game, but it does make sense that you did it.

I think Yeti's trying to have Sal use the open up that way is awful suspicious.

As it stands now I am thinking the three no votes on the last mission are our spies. Since Sal is on the spy list, I have to vote no on this next mission if any of the 3 make it on the team.

Yeti, I wasn't saying resistance members shouldn't vote. I was simply saying the results wouldn't necessarily be immediately revealed.

I agree with Justin. We need to find a clean team.

Autumn, nah, Yeti has a point about the resistance and spy members needing to vote alike; any other method would just unnecessarily complicate the game. That's the only true point he has though...

Yeti is very logical, and perhaps in another context he could be right, but when it come to Devi on the receiver end, and with how the voting of the previous mission turned out, hm, perhaps Devi is clean for real...
