As Miss Hawkeye will be quite busy doing background work on the Olympics, this round of Resistance will return to its original format. There will be no story to accompany the missions, but everything else will work the same as usual.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

As someone who took this game too seriously in the past, it sounds like some people are definitely taking the game too seriously. Screenshots? Leaving the game? Agreeing to what amounts to cheating? Come on people. It's a game. Yes it is frustrating when someone says you're a spy and you're not. I've been there. But Devi, it's not worth cheating and leaving the game over. Take a step back. How would you feel if a fellow resistance member offered to leave the resistance team a man down because of a personal vendetta. Probably a little upset. Everyone should take a deep breath, take a break, and calm down. This is supposed to be fun.

Remember, the spies are trying to get people all hot and bothered and pissed off. Devi, if you leave, that gives the spies an advantage. Don't give them that. You've got to play this game with strategy in mind. Not emotions.

I'm in line with JZs thinking here... If this mission didn't pass it would be way too obvious against Devi if she were a spy, and if she's resistance all the better. I think we have an easy Resistamce win here. Anyone else have thoughts?

When's the deadline? My vote is still a no at the moment, but even if Devi is a spy, i don't think she'd sabotage this mission.

You guys at right. It's a game, but that doesn't change that i don't react well when someone accuses me of something unfairly. And yes, you're right, Yeti isn't worth me leaving the Resistance one mandl down.

No, no, no! We can't allow this mission to go forward. Devi knows she's been sniffed out. If the mission goes ahead with her on it she WILL sabotage it!

Joseph is on the team, so I can understand why he's tempted to take a gamble on my lying. I don't know why Molly is backing a clearly bad proposition though; that is very suspicious.

The only suspicious thing is the lying spy seeing his plans go down the drain

Devi, if you followed the last game, or go back and read it, you will see I reacted much the same way when JZ accused me. I thought of leaving the game too, but didn't post it. So I've been there. I know how infuriating it is. And that's ok. No emotion or feeling is bad. I just wanted to remind everyone, not just you, that this is supposed to be fun.

Now, I'm done preaching ;)

Just going through a lot at home right now with the kid being sick with a high fever, running to the emergency room, then getting sick myself and having to watch over an overly energetic toddler (even when sick) while having no magical 'energy button' myself it just pissed me off even more than normal. I know it's a game.

I just hope i picked the right person, hoping he's Resistance or I'll never hear the end of it.
