One of the most prominent yet elusive people of Sleuthville, the legendary Big Lucy herself, is hitting a new milestone in life. While none are bold enough to inquire her age, rumors say this is a momentous occasion. The guest list is comprised of the most prominent and affluent people in Sleuthville and beyond.

However, some of Sleuthville's own working class have been invited-- not as guests, but as special operatives to patrol the event. They have been selected for their swiftness, skill, and intelligence. They will be entrusted with making sure that Big Lucy's Birthday Bash goes off without a hitch. But, as always, there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames.

A mere three minutes before the event is scheduled to start, the operatives are informed of an alarming development. There has been a breach within the ranks, and a number of spies have infiltrated the group! Having never seen each others' faces, there is no way to discern whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.

The operatives' job this evening is to make sure Big Lucy's birthday celebration goes off without a hitch. If she is pleased at the end of the night, it is almost guaranteed that they will lead easy lives from thereon out. Whispers say Big Lucy may be more forgiving on her big day, but even she has her limits...

Will Big Lucy's birthday bash be a huge success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

Yes to both Yeti and Autumn's questions. I know a lot of you are frustrated with how slowly this is going, and I'm very sorry about that. Unfortunately I can't control when people log in or constantly be on their backs to vote.

So I'm imposing a new rule starting now. People have 24 hours from the time of the prompting post to get their votes in (yes/no or succeed/sabotage) or I'll flip a coin and you live with the results.

I'll wait 6 more hours. But then we must move on.

Thank you. I'm sure you're just as frustrated as we are.

I know I was slow on the last one because I had a brain farts and missed the post about the mission team. I for one am not really frustrated by the pace of the game. It seems like several of us are dealing with some pretty big things right now. But I can appreciate the need to move things along. I think the coin flip is a decent solurion.

The results of the vote on Marc's MISSION 3 Proposal are in.

Marc proposed a team of:
-Marc
-Keira Ann
-jroepel
-DevilishWings

This mission proposal has been APPROVED by a vote of 8-2. The votes are as follows:

Joseph Zeo YES
Ms Helen YES
M. Lacrimosa YES
Keira Ann YES
Sleuth Sindy NO
DevilishWings YES
Sal Iva NO
jroepel YES
Yeti Face YES
Autumnsprings YES

Marc and Yeti will not be using NO CONFIDENCE.

The mission is now ready to proceed. Marc, Keira, jroepel, and Devi must PM me whether they vote to SUCCEED or whether they vote to SABOTAGE the mission.

**Resistance members must vote SUCCEED, while Spies may choose to vote either SUCCEED or SABOTAGE.**

Justin, you can use IN THE SPOTLIGHT to force someone on the team to post their action (SUCCESS/SABOTAGE) publicly on the thread instead of submitting via PM. Do you want to use this ability? If so, please mention whom you'll be using it on.

It makes sense to use it now anyway, if you're going to use it, as the next mission requires two sabotage votes. So even if we add a spy to the team, so long as these four are solid we still win.

Good point. I forget about needing the two sabotages.

Ah jeez, deep apologies everyone! I must have fog in the brain! I thought I have already voted and it was the Mission 3 teams members' turn to vote Sucess / Sabotage.

Advice to men out there, if your other half is going through / under gone a frustrating surgical procedure, don't suddenly go and book a weekend holiday with the family. I had to suddenly change my child's weekend plans (must say I'm quite an organized mom and our kid has a happy balanced schedule with play dates, summer camps and other activities well spaced out). After the surgery on Thursday noon (which the doctor successfully took out a huge cyst plus something extra, which is currently being analyzed in the lab) I went home to pack, finished up my freelance work, and called up all the centers to reschedule my son's activities. Friday morning I took my son to the beach with his friends as promised ages ago and then hurried off to the airport. I am now sitting in a hotel room in Thailand with my two "boys" (including my hubby) sleeping soundly next to me, but I don't feel that I'm on a holiday at all. Rant over. Deep apologies for that as well.

Thanks Announcer for taking over. I would've voted Yes anyhow. This will not happen again. I was checking in everyday, but somehow I thought it was a mission team success/sabotage vote we were waiting for. Can't blame the antibiotics though. My bad.
