One of the most prominent yet elusive people of Sleuthville, the legendary Big Lucy herself, is hitting a new milestone in life. While none are bold enough to inquire her age, rumors say this is a momentous occasion. The guest list is comprised of the most prominent and affluent people in Sleuthville and beyond.

However, some of Sleuthville's own working class have been invited-- not as guests, but as special operatives to patrol the event. They have been selected for their swiftness, skill, and intelligence. They will be entrusted with making sure that Big Lucy's Birthday Bash goes off without a hitch. But, as always, there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames.

A mere three minutes before the event is scheduled to start, the operatives are informed of an alarming development. There has been a breach within the ranks, and a number of spies have infiltrated the group! Having never seen each others' faces, there is no way to discern whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.

The operatives' job this evening is to make sure Big Lucy's birthday celebration goes off without a hitch. If she is pleased at the end of the night, it is almost guaranteed that they will lead easy lives from thereon out. Whispers say Big Lucy may be more forgiving on her big day, but even she has her limits...

Will Big Lucy's birthday bash be a huge success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

Lots of suspected spies voting NO there. That's usually a good sign.

Oh, and best of luck with your operation, Joseph. Don't worry if it does go badly, I hear large facial scars are totally rad, and a good way to get into the criminal underworld if you're interested in that kind of career path.

Welcome back, M. Glad you're okay.

So, where was I...

Oh, yeah. So, this is my first game and I was glad to be resistance so I could just sit back and see how the game is played. So, I'm just dropping in and checking the boards and reading past games at the same time and then all of a sudden Squatch starts calling me a spy.

Now, I wonder because I know I'm resistance, how can he be so positive I'm a spy? And then I come down to the sixth game on the threads that The Announcer PM'd me and I find that Riza and Squatch have little awards collecting dust on their shelves because they were the first SPIES in Sleuth Resistance history to ever win a game of Resistance.

Hmmm.

All I can say is, I know I'm resistance. And if Squatch is a spy, then he is really setting things up nicely to have two spies on the team in the fourth mission. So, I'm afraid I have to vote NO.

"Lots of suspected spies voting NO there. That's usually a good sign."

Of course, I knew that would be Squatch's comment. I ask you, why would I deliberately "out" myself as a spy by voting no when I was pretty darn sure everyone else would vote "yes." I would just cover my ass by going along with everyone else and voting "no."

But I highly suspect that Squatch is a spy.

I love my bee smoker. I need to get an apartment so I can get a display cabinet so I can invite everyone over to look at it.

@ Joseph

My niece had a mole on her nose removed a few years ago and she was very careful about removing the eschar (that's scar tissue to all you spy types out there) three times a day and she has minimal scarring.

Conversely, we have a maintenance guy in the building where I work who wears an eye patch and all the ladies think he's incredibly sexy! :)

In any event, I hope your procedure goes smoothly.

Sindy dear, furball isn't the only one who called you a spy. And I have no bee smoker 🐝 This is also my first game of Resistance and I'm certainly no evil genius mastermind.

Yeti is right about the identities of the spies. The only spy to vote yes was Helen. It was her team. The spies all just outed themselves thinking that there would be more no votes. Sorry love.

He probably figured it out because he's played this game before and had been a spy. I knew some of the spies. He confirmed those and filled out the list for me. Looking back, everything makes sense. We'll know when this mission succeeds and every mission with this team succeeds.

If resistance members are agreed to the suggestion to run with this team if it succeeds, then the first person to change the team before a sabotage is a spy.

So? Who will be the first to try to come up with a way to change the team with no sabotages? I bet it's one of yeti's four.

Yes, it's rather curious how closely you've aligned yourself with Yeti throughout.

Pick whatever team you want. But unless a team has myself (because I know I'm resistance), Sal Iva (because he's the other player that Yeti *knows* is a spy) and M. Lacrimosa on it, I'm voting no.

This team will succeed because of course if there is a spy on it, they're not going to tip their hand now. They HAVE to be able to get TWO spies on the fourth team to be able to win.
