One of the most prominent yet elusive people of Sleuthville, the legendary Big Lucy herself, is hitting a new milestone in life. While none are bold enough to inquire her age, rumors say this is a momentous occasion. The guest list is comprised of the most prominent and affluent people in Sleuthville and beyond.

However, some of Sleuthville's own working class have been invited-- not as guests, but as special operatives to patrol the event. They have been selected for their swiftness, skill, and intelligence. They will be entrusted with making sure that Big Lucy's Birthday Bash goes off without a hitch. But, as always, there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames.

A mere three minutes before the event is scheduled to start, the operatives are informed of an alarming development. There has been a breach within the ranks, and a number of spies have infiltrated the group! Having never seen each others' faces, there is no way to discern whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.

The operatives' job this evening is to make sure Big Lucy's birthday celebration goes off without a hitch. If she is pleased at the end of the night, it is almost guaranteed that they will lead easy lives from thereon out. Whispers say Big Lucy may be more forgiving on her big day, but even she has her limits...

Will Big Lucy's birthday bash be a huge success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

Marc, neither Autumn nor Zeo are on this mission. Personally I don't think it should go ahead anyway, but let's see how the vote goes.

I'm beginning to rethink my position on Marc. If he were a spy, and there were a spy on the team, he wouldn't play no confidence. He would let the mission go through. Especially since it's been heavily implied that Joseph would play strong leader to prevent Marc from being leader.

If he were a spy and there wasn't a spy on the team, he still wouldn't play no confidence because Joseph may use the strong leader card and Marc wouldn't get to lead.

But if Marc isn't a spy, then he may hope he will get to lead.

Incidentally Marc, why do you have no confidence in this mission if you think Joseph and/or I are spies? We're not on the team.

I'm beginning to wonder about Joseph. Has this whole ingenue thing been an act? You were pretty quick to call me a spy because I was calling everyone else a spy (which I had been doing before the game even started.) Then, when I explained myself, you were pretty quick to drop it.

I think Marc is resistance and Joseph is a spy. If we let him lead another mission, we will have more information. But if he is a spy, that potentially puts the spies 2 ahead unless we don't approve his team. If we let Marc lead a mission, we will have more information about him, but the longer Joseph had his card, the more valuable it is if he is a spy.

I don't know what to hope for. But I think I would like Joseph to use his strong leader card then the team not be approved. Helen would then select a second team and it would still be 1 - 0 spies.

Sorry completely off topic, but J I agree it's lovely to catch up with Sleuthies new and old :)

I'm still not entirely sure why my team is being considered a bad team, possibly it's spies trying makes us second guess ourselves or perhaps we all just have very different ideas of what would work and maybe none of them are wrong just different. I hope that makes sense.

The only thing I can really add is did I read right that if we knock back so many teams the spies automatically win? If so we should be baring this in mind.

The results of the vote on Ms Helen's MISSION 2 Proposal are in.

Ms Helen proposed a team of:
-Ms Helen
-DevilishWings
-Keira Ann
-Yeti Face

This mission proposal has been REJECTED by a vote of 6-4. The votes are as follows:

Joseph Zeo NO
Ms Helen YES
M. Lacrimosa NO
Keira Ann NO
Sleuth Sindy YES
DevilishWings YES
Sal Iva YES
jroepel NO
Yeti Face NO
Autumnsprings NO

Leadership will now move to M. Lacrimosa, and he must propose a team. However, if Joseph wants to use his STRONG LEADER ability, he must do so before Marc's proposal.

So, that vote is out of the way. Time to tell you all what I really think. Joseph Zeo and Ms Helen are our first two spies.

Usually what the first player does (in this case Joseph) is look at the list, and pick the players immediately below them. It makes sense, those players are coming up next so you want to get an early grasp on them. I think that's what Joseph did, picking a team of Ms Helen and Marc. He then realised that wouldn't gel, as he wouldn't want to be on a team with a fellow spy. So he substituted Ms Helen for Autumn (the player above him rather than below him). He then failed the mission, knowing that his fellow spy could compose a new team and sabotage that one.

I've been suspicious of Ms Helen from the moment that first mission failed. She above all others has acted too ditzy, too "new". It's an act, and it stinks worse than marmite on the breath. The final nail in her coffin as far as I was concerned was when she gave her OPEN UP power to Keira instead of keeping it herself. As a Resistance member you want people to know who you are, as a Spy you do not. So, being a spy, she gave it away.

Marc, I ask you don't put yourself on your team. You're too divisive right now. Instead pick a team of me, Keira, Devi and Autumn. Let's nail this mission down, and go from there.
