One of the most prominent yet elusive people of Sleuthville, the legendary Big Lucy herself, is hitting a new milestone in life. While none are bold enough to inquire her age, rumors say this is a momentous occasion. The guest list is comprised of the most prominent and affluent people in Sleuthville and beyond.

However, some of Sleuthville's own working class have been invited-- not as guests, but as special operatives to patrol the event. They have been selected for their swiftness, skill, and intelligence. They will be entrusted with making sure that Big Lucy's Birthday Bash goes off without a hitch. But, as always, there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames.

A mere three minutes before the event is scheduled to start, the operatives are informed of an alarming development. There has been a breach within the ranks, and a number of spies have infiltrated the group! Having never seen each others' faces, there is no way to discern whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.

The operatives' job this evening is to make sure Big Lucy's birthday celebration goes off without a hitch. If she is pleased at the end of the night, it is almost guaranteed that they will lead easy lives from thereon out. Whispers say Big Lucy may be more forgiving on her big day, but even she has her limits...

Will Big Lucy's birthday bash be a huge success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

Oh, i see. Thanks for your clarification.

In that case, Yeti, i am not sure why we should vote this one down. Please explain to me your line of thoughts as I am confused as hell right now. I don't see it getting any better as Marc will be up next.

I had doubts and still do about revealing to Yeti, because as both Ms. Helen and Joseph pointed out, we are now linked. It being so early in the game , I have no real way of knowing who is on my side in the resistance. Could Yeti be a spy and want me to waste my revealing allegiance on him? Who knows? But since I had to reveal to someone, I thought he seemed trustworthy enough.

Also, this is my first time playing this game so I may not have all the strategy down yet.

Joseph, I don't know that there aren't any spies on it. The possibility was brought up that there could be two or more spies on it. That is a possibility I hadn't considered.

I KNOW I'm resistance. But the only other people who also KNOW that are the spies.

We all KNOW there was at least one spy on the first mission. I don't think it was you, but I have too little information to say I KNOW it wasn't you.

Marc's silence is very suspicious to me. If you look at his reaction to being called a spy in the first game, you'll see he blew up. He later attributed it to real life stress and overreaction. But so far, in this game, the only thing he he's posted is to say that by volunteering to sit out this mission we're suspicious (still hasn't answered my question about any that makes us suspicious) and threatening to use the no confidence card.

The Announcer has clarified he can only use that card IF THIS TEAM IS APPROVED.

Joseph has said if Marc uses the card, he will use strong leader. The problems with that are that are it would be better to save it for later in the game if possible and that we don't KNOW there are no spies on this team, so forming a new team would be fine with no further information.

Given this new viewpoint (2+ spies on the team) I'm going to retract my approval until I've had time to think about it.

I'm sorry Announcer. But I want to make sure that my votes are well thought-out.

I retract my approval of this team. I will try to decide and post my vote in the morning.

I am waiting for Marc to answer my question.

Okay, so I have been thinking. I am having a hard time rationalizing Yeti's choice for his power. Why would Yeti pick Keira for this? If Yeti is resistance, then he wasted the opportunity to absolutely confirm the loyalty of one or the other of Joseph or Marc, and by extension the alignment of the other person. Picking Keira based on how she voted in the very first round seems so arbitrary. I mean, I guess it is a reason to pick someone. But rolling the dice vs confirmation on the identity of at least one spy. I would go with solid evidence rather than taking a gamble on learning to trust someone that I couldn't collaborate with anyways. It makes me think that Yeti and Keira are spies, with Yeti attempting to bring "cover" to Keira. Now there are potential problems with this theory, but I am thinking that it may be worth vetoing this mission team.

If Yeti and Keira are spies, and so is Marc. Then this mission and the next are doomed to failure. It would be best to veto this team and hope that Joseph will take leadership of the next round. Hopefully we can get a win for the Resistance, and then identify the last spy to isolate them and win this for Lucy.

Well apparently I misunderstood how the open up worked and what happened. I am so confused. In my defense, it is very late here. :-(

I think Justin got confused by the way yeti phrased his "request" the same way I did, lol.

While the first bit is a little off the rest of the post still stands.

Why would yeti suggest Kiera reveal her allegiance to him? Unless he is a spy, knows she is also a spy, and is afraid she may panic and blow her cover? So he takes her by the hand and "suggests" (in a way that made at least 2 people think he was commanding her) that she reveal to him. She knows he's a spy so he would be a "safe" choice. So she agrees. This gives her an "out."

To clarify: I had the open up card and had to immediately reveal my allegiance to a player. I chose Yeti. This is because Helen already would know my allegiance through my vote on the mission if the team is approved. We know one of the members from the first mission is a spy ( Autumn, Marc or Joseph). I simply don't know anything yet about the other players to deem who is trustworthy.

I do know I am in the resistance.

Helen will not automatically know how you vote, if I'm understanding the card correctly. She has to choose to see either your vote or yeti's vote. She won't know both.

I could be wrong though.

Totally forgot I was on the team. Oops! V. quick.

So, one spy in first mission.
Keira and Yeti safe, two slots left on mission, three off mission.
Three spies left, chances of all three spies being off mission VERY slim.
Vote mission down.
