In just under six weeks, the 31st Summer Olympics and the 15th Paralympics will occur in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Athletes from over 190 countries around the world will gather to compete in some 35 different overall sports over a period of about 3 weeks.

Many people have commented recently that they would like to see some more activities taking place here on Sleuth. A few of us creatively evil types were wondering if we put together a series of activities for people, would y'all be interested??

We are looking for at least 8-12 people, of all experience levels; both hunters (treasure, casework, and Arch Villain) and writers will be needed. People will be competing in a team format. We're probably looking at Subbed players for now, but we're working on having at least two activities (not necessarily part of the teams, but supplemental to them) that will be exclusive to UNSUBBED players. All of these activities will have an Olympics theme.

So. Any takers?? ;-)

Please let us know below.

Thank you!!

M. Arty -- Hi there. Haiku is a form of Japanese poetry that has a set structure for the number of syllables per line. Normally there is no requirement for a subject and the poem can be either serious or humorous. Hope that helps. And by the way, i've never been able to write poetry that rhymes. So everyone else, you have an advantage over me. L

Most haiku don't rhyme. Do we have to follow the classic rule of 5-7-5 syllables? And where do we post these haiku?

BadAss, an IH reward item is an Incredibly Hard Favor Reward Item. And I would guess that yes, you will probably have to follow the standard syllable count for the haikus. As for where to posting them, you'll post them on the thread I put up for them next week. So stop stressing. Concentrate on this week's task. ;-)

I've had a couple people ask me about the Cairo scavenger hunt, what exactly that entails, and what prerequisites people will need for it. The answer for that is: it's basically what it sounds like--a scavenger hunt that's set in Cairo. Specific details will be announced next Tuesday, but it really is not a huge deal, guys. And the only prerequisites you will need are 2 people who don't want to do an Arch Villain hunt, and can access Cairo (since everyone can access the city, I believe, that shouldn't be a problem for anybody). I promise, this isn't the end of the world, guys. ;-)

Now, back to the cheerleaders!! ;-D

Some more curiosity ... do we have to display our bios on our detective page or in the agency boards?

It would be nice for everyone to be able to see them, but the challenge was for the Agencies to be created and furbished. So technically, only the Agency boards have to be done.

Hope that helps. ;-)
