In just under six weeks, the 31st Summer Olympics and the 15th Paralympics will occur in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Athletes from over 190 countries around the world will gather to compete in some 35 different overall sports over a period of about 3 weeks.

Many people have commented recently that they would like to see some more activities taking place here on Sleuth. A few of us creatively evil types were wondering if we put together a series of activities for people, would y'all be interested??

We are looking for at least 8-12 people, of all experience levels; both hunters (treasure, casework, and Arch Villain) and writers will be needed. People will be competing in a team format. We're probably looking at Subbed players for now, but we're working on having at least two activities (not necessarily part of the teams, but supplemental to them) that will be exclusive to UNSUBBED players. All of these activities will have an Olympics theme.

So. Any takers?? ;-)

Please let us know below.

Thank you!!

We've also put up the first of a series of quizzes in the Game Room and in the Gumshoe Lounge. Go have a look, and maybe take a crack at them. ;-)

Thank you again. ;-D

Just to be clear, the quiz isn't actually part of the comp right? More of a community spirit thing?

Nope, it doesn't count against the competition. Just a warm-up sort of a thing. ;-)

K. Just wanted to be clear on that. I mean, we don't even have a final had count yet, but it's always nice to be sure, lol.

Congrats to Verali and Bela Talbot for placing first and second, respectively, in the annual AVH Tournament!! Way to go to both of you!!!! ;-D

We've had one person who's had to withdraw, unfortunately, due to time and personal reasons. So we're at 12 people. Please, if you're interested in participating, PLEASE sign up. We can't include you if you don't.

We're also looking for people who are interested in judging and monitoring events. If this sounds more like your cup of tea, please either say here, or send a PM to David Adams, Luc Pfeiffer, or me. Thank you!! ;-D

T-minus one month!! ;-)

I have a question. You mentioned there being various hunts, and I was wondering if that means we will need to join agencies (i.e. team Swiss detective agency) to complete the hunts?

Something along those lines, but specific details will be announced in a couple of weeks. Patience, grasshopper. ;-)

The deadline for signing up for the Olympics is 11:59PM, Sunday, July 24, 2016, SST. That still gives everyone a couple of weeks to check your calendars and make sure you've got the time free to come join us!!

Thank you!! ;-D
