The wealthiest sleuth here has amassed a fortune of $27215708, which seems an absolutely ginormous pile of dollars to me. I would love to know who that is! :D
Any guesses, fellow sleuths?

Not much use in being good with money if you have to keep paying bribes.

Sophie, you do have a point there. Independent contractors like you are the bravest of the brave. I'm too chicken to try and emulate you. ;-)

I think Secret Squirrel might be able to print money. To be honest maybe it is SS after all the money we gave him to bet on the villain hunt!

I doubt he raked in $27,000,000 on the tournament - I just don't think there's that many people who would have bet that much money, but I could be wrong.
At first I thought it might be someone retired, like Treschaude, who played for a long time. But I note today that the mystery detective's wealth has gone down slightly, so it must be an active player.
My guess would be that it's someone who plays several detectives and siphons the money into one main detective.
