Detective Agencies are now live, meaning you can now go to the Real Estate office, rent headquarters, and form an agency with other players. I will continue working on this through the week, but there is a lot there already, so I would like people to start testing it.

NOTES:

1) If you want to join an agency make sure you have your popup blocker disabled. You need to be able to communicate with other members via private message. That can only happen if you aren't blocking popups.

2) Until all the features (including treasure hunts) are live, the game will not charge daily rent for headquarters. This is to encourage people to start testing now, even though not all the benefits of belonging to an agency are live.

THINGS THAT CURRENTLY WORK:
* Renting Property / Creating Agencyies
* Inviting new members
* resigning from agencies
* promoting/demoting members
* agency message boards
* depositing/withdrawing from office safe
* equipment locker

THINGS THAT DON'T WORK YET:
* Crime lab
* Case Files
* Moving/Upgrading Headquarters
* Treasure Hunts

- Have Fun

Oops. Although I did already fix the bug with casefiles, older case files were already corrupted to the point that they were unusable.

So, I had to delete all the existing Case Files. There weren't that many. Sorry about that.

To address Fat Chuck's earlier question,

I will be adding a higher level of mystery difficulty soon. Not only for agencies, but for those of you who are having too easy of a time with Very Very Hard mysteries.

Additionally, Treasure Hunts will be long term goals that agencies will work on together, and in competition with other agencies. I anticipate they'll take several days for an agency to solve.

Like Chuck, I haven't able to find an agency help page, even though someone mentioned one in this thread. Is that something that's only available once you are in an agency?

Yes, the agency help page is in the agency headquarters. Let me see if I can post some of that information.

I have a question, how does the agency gain fame? Is it based on the agents experience?

Right now, the only way to gain agency fame is for members to solve mysteries. When I add treasure hunts, solving one of those will add a great deal of fame to the successful agency. Probably in the range of a couple hundred per treasure.

A thought: all agencies have the great and very useful private message boards. Should directors not have means of controlling those boards (deleting dated threads/messages etc)? Otherwise I think it will unavoidably become a mess at some point.

Hi Ben,
It might also be useful if the Agency Headquarters page showed Fame (and any other relevant stats). Looks like now the only way to see your Fame is by the high score list?

I like all the Agency features so far.
Thanks for adding this huge build.

OK, crime labs are live, for those agencies with properties that include a lab.

Let me know what you think about crime labs. They should make case files more useful.

That leaves Treasure Hunts as the only big agency feature left to implement.
