As I understand it all scripted mysteries are currently out of commission. This is a problem caused by the server crash earlier this year, and it is not something I can personally address. Ben's told me that he'll be tackling it over this week, which will (hopefully) fix all the playable mysteries.

I'm not sure at this time if there'll be any way to recover corrupted data in mysteries sleuths are in the process of creating, and it may be a case of transferring the information manually to a new mystery - if that hasn't been done all ready.

I'm very sorry about both the delay and inconvenience, and thank you all for your persistent patience.

This isn't as site wide as above (I think), but there are a range of Scripted Mysteries that don't seem to be 'working'. eg New Year's Misfortune in London.

In general it seems to be linked to evidence matching. e.g. check hair with barber. The error will bump you back onto the login page.

I can't give you an eta on a fix for this kind of thing. Fixes are in literally in the lap of the Sleuth Gods.

My suggestion (and this isn't as blaze as it sounds) is to quit and move on.

In general the game is pretty stable all the way through to Nemesis Hunts (I'm happy to be corrected on that). The Boardwalk, which is a later edition, does have issues with Furores etc. (Happy to be corrected about that too.)

Wish I had read this before starting it and facing the Barber :))
