After four weeks of intense competition, lots of perseverance on everyone's part, and many curses hurled at the Sleuth gods, this year's competition has finally come to an end. Congratulations to Verali, winner of the Sleuthville AVH Tournament 2016! *applause erupts*

Verali, as this year's winner, you've earned bragging rights for the next year, a custom item prize designed by SS (please message him to arrange delivery), and a large sum of prize money. How much? After calculations, your grand total works out to $485, 000! I shall transfer you the prize money shortly.

Thank you to everyone who participated. I hope you all had a lot of fun. If you'd like to leave feedback on the tourney or ways to improve it, please do so. Myself and others have a few things planned for the rest of this year, so stay tuned!

congrats to both finalists and especially to Verali, the winner of this edition.
You had the patience and diligence necessary to make it Verali! Good work!
my money were on the second place, but this is how lessons are learned I guess!
It was a tournament I personally followed to the end of it!
Nice work for you again Riza, Squirrel and all the nasty talkers here! :D

Thanks Yeti, Devi, Riza and Mortimer.

Don't feel too bad Mortimer, I didn't put any money on myself either!

That is an impressive sum of prize money. Maybe my apartment won't look quite so bare soon. When we next do this again can I not go against Bela? ;) It was incredibly nerve wracking every single round. I might just get Yeti to gloat on my behalf for the year; I suspect he's better at it.

A winner, and as the cool kids would say, OMG! I shall of course sort out a prize in the next day or so, and cough up some money to those people who laid wages on Verali.

Congrat's to Verali for winning and to Bela Talbot III as runner-up.

And thanks of course to Riza for once again organising it all.

Thanks.

As a side note: given just how tight that tournament was I think there should be consideration of Bela getting a runner up prize. Perhaps some Yeti-fur gloves? A Himalayan hairpin?

I'm also interested in whether this was the longest AVH tourney we've had. I've been away, so I've missed many of these. Maybe most of them! Does anyone know how long the longest tournament was? This one seemed to take forever. And that was from the outside! I can't imagine going through it.

Oh, and I'd like to second Verali's idea about a runner up prize. Although I know my vote means nothing, lol.

And also, if this was the longest tournament, maybe Verali (or maybe even all the finalists) could get a special title?
