Taking a guess was the right thing to do. It sounds like your luck has been miserable though. Bad luck, Sal!

Although not everyone has finished the third round, we do have enough information to determine who moves on to the final. Here are the results so far:
1. Sal Iva [?] vs. Kathryn Gumshoe the 7th [?] vs. Verali 5-1= [4] vs. Bela Talbot III 5-1= [4]
2. Yeti Face 3-1= [2] vs. Bonanza Jellybean [?]
Congrats to those moving on. Everyone else, I know you put in your best efforts. Be proud of yourselves!
The Round 4 (and possibly final) matchup:
Verali vs. Bela Talbot III vs. Yeti Face
The next round will begin on Monday, June 27 at 0:00 server time. Good luck!

Yeti, I have a question...
You said, "Taking a guess was the right thing to do."
My question is this: the right thing for who? Him guessing and risking getting it wrong and knocking himself out of the tourney was certainly the right thing for him to do in regards to how it affects you. But obviously it didn't turn out so well for him.
I can't decide if you genuinely believe it was the right thing to do (meaning you would have guessed if you were in that position) and are trying to make him feel better or if you're glad he knocked himself out and are trying to use inauthentic sympathy as a mask for relief? happiness? that he's no longer competition.
We all know guessing is extremely risky and very rarely the best course of action. We also all know the impatience that comes with uncertainty and the temptation to take the risk.
Unfortunately, Sal was not lucky this time. I wish he had been the one blessed by the sleuth gods. But he wasn't.
Sal, I'm truly sorry. I can't blame you. I did the same thing this morning. Only it wasn't for the co-conspirator, it was for the killer and I now have an FA I can't afford. But I would say yeti is feeling some relief he no longer has to risk facing off against you.
That is proof you are an amazing player and stiff competition.
Bela, Verali, I truly wish you both the best of luck in this and any future rounds.

Congrats to Bela and Verali!
Sal, I know how you feel. Yesterday I finished my cases with only one clue and two possibilities left. I was seriously contemplating guessing but decided I wasn't brave enough to do it. Kudos to you for having the guts, and I'm sorry you picked the wrong one.

Autumn, as Sal had no cases left and Verali and Bela had already finished their hunts that day, he was faced with a choice between definitely getting knocked out of the tournament by not guessing, or taking a 50/50 guess and having that 50% chance of staying in the tournament. Therefore taking that 50% chance is the right thing for him to do. It'd have been better for my tournament chances if he'd just not taken that chance.
