This happened to me twice today:

Error Loading Mystery

We have experienced an error while trying to load your active case.

Would you like to:

Retry
Quit Case

Both cases had been solved and the error occurred at the moment of accusing the guilty suspect.

I just got another favor in which I got booted after accusing the culprit. I think the twist in the story was that I ran into a socialite named McDonnellan or something.

That sounds about right, McCoy. One problem appears to be with the twist where the police falsely arrest a suspect (rather than where they happen to get it right). This was meant to be fixed last night, but unfortunately the update doesn't appear to have integrated properly. So it's down now to when Ben has a moment to try and upload it again.

I would like to add to this topic, that Scripted Mysteries (unpublished ones as far as I'm aware) are also bugged due to the fact that the Witnesses (Townies) are unavailable. Clicking on one reveals that it's corrupted and that you can either try to go further with the case (as far as possible) or close it down.

I have already informed Yeti about this, awaiting a response from him, but wanted to share this with the rest of you as well.

Yeti, I sure do hope your little angels are sleeping through the night. It sounds like you have plenty of sleuthy problems to interrupt your sweet dreams with nightmares of irate detectives chasing you through the streets demanding an arm or leg if they can't capture the guilty party. : )

Seriously thank you for working so hard to iron things out, and ultimately making the game run smoother for the rest of us.

I second what Miss Marple said - thank you for putting so much time into ironing things out and making sure the game runs smoother for all of us. Sometimes, it's hard to find the appreciation, but I hope you do know we all appreciate the hard work you've been doing for the past few weeks :)

Maybe eventually I'll get good enough at testing things before they're released that I won't have to have those horrible nightmares about butcherous detectives every time there's an update. Maybe that time will come when my youngest angel deems it time to sleep through. ;)

Thank you both (and in fact, everyone who has been in contact so far) for being so understanding, especially with an update like this where you don't get to actually see any benefits directly. You're welcome to my time, and hopefully the next update will be something cool.

Oh, and the scripted mysteries are a known issue. I don't believe it's something I can tackle personally as it's actually a left over from when the server crashed last month. It is on Ben's to do list though.

Okay, so Vulkie found this wonderful image of Yeti trying to fix the back end of Slueth, and shared it with me.

I feel I duty bound to share it with the rest of you.

Well Squirrel, maybe you should learn and ask for a pay rise - that way, you can help Yeti out :)
